A must win last league game for dubai zahirians cricket club in SUPER CUP 2012 was secure by Mohammed Faris with 43* (26) and 33/2 (3 overs), also winning the man of the match award to put his team in Semi finals next week with same Karachi Tigers Cricket club again in Wonderland.

The second annual season of the SUPER CUP Premier League 2012 (SCPL) - Dubai , comprising six teams and 12 matches, will begin and end in Wonder land Park, with the opening match on May 11 and the final on June 08. "It's always a challenge to play against better sides. This team has so much potential. Everyone has got a role, batsmen, bowlers and fielders and they all know what to do. If plan A doesn't work the captain is there to implement plan B. We have to take key points and work to that."Though progress has been smooth, DZCC are not without dilemmas. The first is a pleasant, selectorial one. Mohammad Razeen & Mohammed Rikaz has yet to play a part in the last seven months.
Now I know my role a bit better," he said. 'We've learned lessons' - Dasthakir
Mohammed Dasthakir , the dubai zahirians skipper is confident that the lessons Zahirians have learned from their tour of the Ajman CC will stand them in good stead when they arrive in Nad-al-Shiba second week of April 2010 for two short format matches.Zahirians lost the last Match against Ajman CC in the WLP, with the home batsmen unable to counter the hosts' pace attack. But Dasthakir, the team skipper, has been encouraged by the improvement his team has shown over the course of the game and feels they will have benefited from the learning experience.
While Dasthakir accepted that Zahirians's batsmen had struggled throughout the last couple of months, he felt their improved performances since the start of the year 2012.Ayyub Padladka, for example, having averaged just 19.16 in the few months ago, bounced back with successive two half centuries in the middle of December 2010 and finished this match with an average of 26.66.Mohammed Irshad figures for the same game - 13.50 and 22.75 - tell a similar story. Mohammed Rafeek, having come into the side, also impressed with a unbeaten match-defining innings of 40 to win the second match in Janaury 2012.
"We've learned some good lessons from that game and earn experience. Siraj Aware of Fitness Challenge
Mohammed Siraj , Dubai Zahirians wicket keeping batsman , is aware that issues regarding his weight and fitness are likely to remain throughout his domestic career but he is determined to show that he is worthy of leader.when he have secure draw the series couple of weeks ago against NICC in wonderland park.
Mohammed Siraj was handed his first call-up to a squad after 6 weeks as a replacement for Mohammed Razeen last year, following a productive few months in the short format set-up. He could yet be considered for the game in WLP although team director Mohammed Farman said Siraj still had "significant work" to do. "Fitness is a key factor and everyone has to work hard on their fitness - some more than others," Siraj said. "It's probably an issue that will stay with me, but I'm not frustrated. The more work you do, the better you feel. Hopefully I am doing the right things now."
"But the best advice I got was when I was told that when I started playing cricket I did so as I loved the game. At that point I wasn't thinking of playing for Zahira and so why think about it now, I was asked. Jet11's bowling isn't their strongest suit, though, and they are up against one of the strongest batting outfits in the UAE tournament, Dubai Zahirians. While it was expected that Mohammed Hillal and Mohammed Irshad the new commer would plaster the bowling, the surprise package has been the form of Mohammed Zahir at the top of the order. The demotion of opening batsman Mohammed Shamil to the reserves and the inclusion of skipper Mohammed Dasthakir are among a host of changes in Zahirians's BIG BATTLE - 2012 squad against JET X1 Sports Club on comming friday in Wonderland Park. Zahirians's selectors have dropped four of the 15 players who were part of the last series against North Idians in same venue, demoted two to reserve status, and called up five. They also continued to not pick Anis ul Rahamn and Madhu.Mohammed Fayas, Mohammed Ziyad, Mohammed Sanaz and Ayyup Padladka, allrounder Mohammed Rikaz and medium-pacer Mohammed Nazeer were dropped from the squad that played Last year with same oppenent. Dubai Zahirians With three wins in their previous four games in 2012, they are undoubtedly favourites, a concept so vital to most sporting contests, but considered taboo in the short format games. They have earned the tag, and not just through the belligerence of Mohammed Siraj. Nazeer Call back on last moment for Replacing Shamil
when his captain's last time in wonderlad park against RSS SC in 2009 Nazeer narrowly failed to earn the title, and even no body expect that its is the last match for him as a captain. and the DZCC selector Mohammed Farman said Nazeer would also be in contention for a place in the squad because i know his strenth.i think he is a right man to replace a player like shamil.
Mohammed Nazeer played his last game in WLP 2011 and he fail to scored but he had ball well on that time.maybe which was the reson that DZCC selectors have choose Nazeer first. "I have been working hard over the last couple of months," Nazeer told the DZCC official page. "The selectors said that I haven't been getting runs but so far I scored runs in the middle and few wickets too I have just waiting for a call and now i earn what i want"
Nazeer was the third-highest run scorer for Hotels in the Dubai Regional four-day competition, making 460 runs, at an average of 41.81 with two half century's from eight games. He was also the leading wicket taker for Raffals in the competition with 11 to his name."Nazeer said he had viewed his batting footage from when he was in form and was working on a few things that had helped him. Top-order all rounder Mohammed Roshan has made a comeback to the Dubai Zahirians squad for their upcoming tour of RSS. Mohammed Nasmi, mohammed Shadeek and Mohammed Rikaz are missed out since they was ineligible for selection, after declining a domestic contract in favour of playing grade cricket in Dubai. There were no other surprises in the 12-member side that will be assistent led by Mohammed Shamil.
Mohammed Roshan played the last of his 68th short format game in December 2011 before being dropped from the side. He has had a good run of form for the zahirians in domestic cricket, which helped him force his way back into the squad. "Roshan has earned a recall into the squad as he has done very well in the last copule of domestic competitions and is one of the few batsmen who has been consistent," Mohammed Farman, convener of selectors, said. "He is an experienced and aggressive player."
Zahirians Cricket's eligibility policy for selection provides for exceptions in the case of one-off tournaments out side from home., such as the one given to Haithar and Faris for his out side assignments, unlike Imran, declined a contract, which ruled him out of contention.

. "I was really disappointed to play the shot I did on 48 in last game. It still gives me nightmares sometimes. It's always nice to come and play in these conditions. It's like an home team coming and playing on a rank turner in Dubai, and winning a match in the starting of the year. We would like to do the same thing again in this all year."
Zahirians skipper Mohammed Dasthakir said Shamil needed to focus on prolonging his career. "I still believe Shamil has much to contribute both in terms of playing and batting input - you simply can't replace that quality and experience in place of sanas he has," said Dastha. "I'd like for him to concentrate now on getting back to full fitness, playing and enjoying his cricket for as long as he can. He's been a colossus for Zahirians cricket."
Mohammed Shamil is keen to continue in a senior role for dubai Zahirians. "I enjoy the extra responsibility and it takes your involvement to a new dimension as you're always thinking of the next move," said Shamil, who has scored 433 short format runs at 33.20 in last 12 games. "I've been fortunate to play under both Dastha and Sanaz's captaincy during my one year in the squad. It's been a golden age for Zahirians cricket with some memorable wins. After winning the toss in 1st match DZCC put LANKANS to bat first, The slow pitch and the design of the pitch, with its short square-boundaries, dictated the style of play. The new ball and seamers controlled well indeed to LANKANS in 12 overs just 77/6. The Big Picture
Dubai Zahirians haven't won their previous two home series, but a failure to close out this one will cause the most criticism. While the other contests were against teams near the top of the rankings, this one is against a side that was struggling to find its feet in UAE cricket. A series that was expected to be all one-way traffic is now level at both teams view, with DZCC having already achieved their pre-tour ambition of winning a Series in out side the home.
After basking in one of their greatest victories, Zahirians have now scaled up their goal to a series win in Jafliya against Lankans SC.
