Faris and Hillal sets up victory

The youngsters shone for Dubai Zahirians as they defeated Jumairah Riders by five wickets in the year end big match 2010 at jumairah Park.Mohamed Hillal ripped the heart out of the Jumairah line-up with a brutal spell of three for 18 in four overs, and Mohammed Faris fearless half-century ensured the chase went smoothly for the hosts. The visitors had rocketed to 32 for 3  in 5.5 overs Hillal struck two times in five deliveries to derail the middle order of JRC,

using his height and pace to torment the batsmen on the quick, hard surface, and throwing in the odd slower ball to keep them guessing.Faris, Sanaz and Rasmi then attacked the Jumairah Riders bowling with style and chutzpah, to get his team off to a rapid start, and continued to attack throughout there innings, despite the fall of wickets at the other end Faris have continue untill the end.Rasmi began with gusto as he flayed Abdul Malik for 15 in his first over with two commanding strikes and a tickle down to fine leg, before hoisting Mohammed Haithar for a giant six over square-leg.

Mohammed Sanaz uppercut his second ball for six, but was undone soon after by Zakeer, attempting an ugly slog across the line to an indipper that pegged back leg stump.however faris fireworks at the other end boosted the score to 55 in five overs.

Mohammed Hillal making another history in Dubai Zahirians taking his 200th Wicket in 73rd short format games, taking Mohammed Haithar as his histical wicket in 3rd own over he slog to long on and rasmi taked clear and ground was seen full of celebration.

Zahirians Lost Two in Row

The other question was whether they could inflict an big gap defeat on Dubai Zahirians something they had never done at zahirians home. They did, dismissing the tailenders in less than six overs on last friday, while mohammed sanaz remained a good innings again provided 42 in there chase. The length of JET11's was going to be determined by Sanaz's approach, and once he showed no intention of farming the strike, exposing Roshan and Rikaz by taking singles, the home team knew JET11 and there bowlers wouldn't make them field for too long.

after loosing the toss dubai zahirians are pulled to field first.first quter was totaly with zahirians Hilla and Rikaz provided 27 in five overs with out taking wickets. speacialy hillal dominated the three overs for just 13 runs but after JET11 batsmans got there way in to game.middle order scored 100 runs in last 4 overs blasted every way in wonderland.finelly they got 160/4 in 12 overs, except sanaz other DZCC batsmans just made single numbers and lost by 46 runs.

The Big Picture
There's Zahirians's crackerjack opening combination against JET11's hostile new-ball attack; an accomplished middle order attempting to perform in the only it has underperformed in; and a richly talented seam attack, challenged primarily by its own inconsistency, striving to unsettle a batting line-up moored by two batsmen, one serene, the other substantial. And then there's the pitch - very hard, a little more damp - and the weight of history these two teams, both ancient and recent: DZCC have lost only four out of 12 short format games.

A chunk of the build-up has centered around the potential damage Mohammed Sanaz, and his partner Mohammed Siraj or Mohammed Haithar, could inflict on JET11's campaign. If they bat for a while, DZCC could make easy win; if they bat for longer,  its sure win for them, which moves the forward at rapid speed. Knock Sanaz over and it all slows down, making it easier for DZCC's opponents to control the pace. JET11 have been tailoring plans to straitjacket Sanaz.

Watch out for...
Mohammed Sanaz has made his name in the limited-overs game with a series of match winning few months ago before he injured innings last week in same venue was effortless. The challenge for sanaz is to focus his energy into building long innings, although one match against RSS won't push him to his limits.

Team news

Zahirians have no fitness issues and only have to decide between Mohammed ziyad and Mohammed Rasmi. Ziyad is the favourite because his bowling skills add variety to those offered by Hillal and Haithar.

Dubai Zahirians: (probable) 1 Dasthakir (capt), 2 Razeen, 3 Rikaz, 4 Sanaz, 5 Ziyad, 6 Roshan, 7 siraj (wk), 8 saflin, 9 Haithar, 10 Ayyub, and 11 Hillal.

Pitch and Conditions
there was more swing than antone expected in the last game and this game will be played on the same surface so the seamers are likely to be key again.

Dasthakir backs Sanaz for future squad

Mohammed Dasthakir the Dubai Zahirians skipper, has said opening batsman Sanaz's performances in the last game against RSS have made him a strong contender for a place in the future squad. He narrowly missed out on his half century, making 38 in the first match after 6 months in Wonderland, and got 72 not out in the last match he played before six months in nad-al-shiba.

"Sanaz has been in and out of the team due to knee injury but he has performed well on this tour," Dasthakir, who is also DZCC selector, said. "There are about four guys competing for that [the opener] place in the future team, but Sanaz has proved himself worthy of a spot." Arafath, Siraj and Rasmi are the rest of Sanaz. He was flown in as a replacement for the injured Arafath during in Jumairah, and then took Mohammed Rasmi's place in the squad as well after Siraj's injured his calf.

Mohammed Dasthakir  though, was confident there wouldn't be questions over his captaincy following the poor run. "I think I have led the team as well as I can. We understand the result. They change me if they feel there is a need to do it." He has captained Dubai Zahirians in 43 short format games.

Zahirians's next assignment is a home series against indian team, which will see them play two 10 overs games in same wonderland. Dasthakir said Dubai Zahirians needed to perform against indians to regain confidence ahead of the next summer 2011, but they were more comfortable playing at home. All of Zahirinas last five losses in 12 have come on outside pitches dubai. The last time they played an series at home was against Nad-al-Shiba in March, a series they won 2-1. In February, they beat JBS SC 2-0 at same home ground.

and Dasthakir said RSS had a good chance of winning in future. "they have been the one of leading team in UAE in recent times. They are an experienced side with some remarkably talented batsmen and bowlers. I think cricket fans would be keen that they play some lively cricket."

Raishad's century seals win for RSS

Dubai Zahirians second game as their batting failed to cope with moist early-morning conditions in Wonderland last friday.Zahirians put RSS on bat first after won the toss in a 12 overs limited game.opening bowling pair Hillal and Roshan did well to control the RSS innings with a wicket.but in other end Raisad the opener for RSS, first century batting first, his second overall and second in a row, set up an eventually comfortable win for RSS. they did lose their way in the first four overs of innings.

The pitch had little of the early-morning demons it is famous for, and all the RSS batsmen got starts. Raishad wasn't as flashy as the others, but only he converted the start to a great century.after few first overs Rikaz and Razeen are in paid back all of the saves to Raishad.they have scored 147/5 in there allowed 12 overs. in chese only the replacement sanaz scored 36 and others are dident read the RSS bowlers well. DZCC scored only 122/8 and loss there first game after 5 weeks rest.

Siraj, Razeen and Rikaz in squad

Dubai Zahirians selectors have dumped fast bowlers Mohammed Faris and Mohammed Ziyad, recalled allrounder Mohammed Rikaz, and included Mohammed Razeen and Mohammed Siraj in their squad to face Redsun Sports in the tour starting at the Wonderland on Friday. The pair will join Mohammed Shadeek and another uncapped fast bowler, Mohammed Hillal, who have been retained in the squad.

Chairman of selectors Mohammed Farman said that with their main spearhead Mohammed Faris unavailable for next few matches, Zahirians are going through a transitional period of trying to find the right combination of fast bowlers to share the new ball in next matches."Some of them cannot play back-to-back matches. This is something unheard of in the past. In Faris's case we have even promoted him to the top category in the player contracts, but he is not fit enough to play for two weeks."

Rikaz played the last of his in Augest 2010 against JBS at Jumairah. The 21-year-old Shadeek is a right-arm medium fast bowler who represents Godapola yoth in the Premier club tournements. With the recall of Razeen and Rikaz, DZCC will have to decide who will play the first match after the disappointing performance put on by Faris and Haithar at WLP.captain Mohammed Dasthakir was critical of the bowling. "The first six overs were probably okay, although we didn't make the batsmen play too much. But after that I thought the lines and the lengths we bowled on this track was not good enough for us to put any pressure on them either to get wickets or to cut down on the runs.

"It's two things on these tracks. No. 1 is to try and make the new ball work for us. If it doesn't work in picking up wickets how we build up pressure by bowling one side of the wicket to one set field. It's nice to limit them to one side and dry the runs up. Those are the things we got to do a bit better and when that happens with our seamers we can build a lot of pressure."

Dubai Zahirians : Dasthakir (c), Razeen, Rikaz, Rasmi, Shadeek, Siraj, Hillal, Ayyub, Razmar, Rimaz and Haithar.
