Mohammed Nazreen to retire from DZCC

Mohammed Nazreen is easily the most penetrative and successful bowler Dubai Zahirians have had, and he has served his club well. He swings and seams the ball with skill, his trademark delivery being the late indipper. However, he also bowls a carefully disguised offcutter, and has recently added reverse-swing to his armoury, a skill that has made him a consistent wicket-taker even on bland turf pitches in united arab emirates. His approach to his batting is equally sincere and in recent series he has gradually gained recognition as a useful allrounder fo DZCC.

It will end a fine career by one of Zahirians's most persevering and successful fast bowlers. In 43 short format games he has taken 61 wickets at 19.40 after making his debut against Pak guns in 2009 - the fourth-highest Dubai Zahirians wicket-taker - along with 94 all around wickets. Nazreen also has 785 runs at 14.48, including a century.

His captain Mohammed Dasthakir led the tributes, saying that Nazreen' achievements were the benchmark quick bowlers in his club will strive for. "Nazreen is a true champion and probably the fast bowler who can be called a true legend of the game," he said. "No matter who replaces Nazreen in the bowling attack they will take Months and Months to reach the standards he has set - and maybe they never will." and its a personel decition from his self that he want to quit from UAE. however hope he will contuniue the cricket in srilanka too, in be half of our club i take this time to thank him from my heart for playing such a big roll past two years. we are wish him all the best.

Mohammed Dasthakir has added another feather to his captaincy hat. It was he who started the games against a formidable Jet11 CC attack, his deputy Mohammed Hillal capitalised on Batting to score a crucial 46,and dubai Zahirians defended with aggression, smartness and flair to Tie the Big Night Tour 2010.There were no problems with tactics for dubai Zahirians: they went with the old-fashioned approach of keeping wickets in hand.

Dasthakir was warned sufficiently Jet11 by Bowling: he had to bring Mohammed hillal, Mohammed riyas, Mohammed faris, Mohammed Haithar and Mohammed nazreen are yorkers have been near perfect, The Must win concluded Tie the Biggest Big Night Tour in Wonderland park last thursday night.

Big Picture
Jet11's bowling isn't their strongest suit, though, and they are up against one of the strongest batting outfits in the UAE tournament, Dubai Zahirians. While it was expected that Mohammed Haithar and Mohammed Faris would plaster the bowling, the surprise package has been the form of Mohammed Fayaz at the top of the order. Add to that the solidity of Mohammed Rikaz, the threatening presence of Mohammed Dasthakir, and the hitting of Mohammed Hillal and Mohammed Razeen and the scale of the challenge facing Mohammed Zaneer's bowlers becomes evident. One thing the JET11 team, will remind there team of will be the inconsistency of its opponents they have alternated between victory and defeat in their past five matches against DZCC. Like Jet11 Zahirians's bowling attack is also not among the more potent ones in the last few Months, which means there could be a run-fest at the Wondreland when the two sides face off.

Team talk
dzcc's Frontline players haven't been as influential as the finishing recruits in most of the jet11 team. Mohammed Faris is one who has consistently delivered, but Dasthakir will mostly have to pick the out-of-form Mohammed Arafath and Mohammed Razeen. Moahmmed Nazreen could also be needed to give the side options, especially with all the DZCC bowlers struggling.

Jet11 have to ponder whether to retain Mohammed Zaneer or to bring back Mohammed Shifan, both of whom have performed well in the Last few Months. Mohammed Rizvi hasn't had too much of an impact in the last few matches, which means Mohammed Ikram could be brought back.

DZCC: (probable) Dasthakir, Rikaz, Fayaz, Faris, Haithar, Hillal, Nazreen, Riyas, Ayyub, Razeen and Nawshard.

In the spotlight
JET11's fast bowlers Mohammed Zaneer has rapidly won over the crowd with his enthusiasm and tight bowling. He has had little support from the other quicks, though, with Mohammed Shifan and Mohammed Ikram. In DZCC Mohammed Haithar has had a forgettable Sesson so far, but he's one of the game's great big-match players. Last year, he stopped the in-form in the Jumirah, Mohammed Hillal. Can he repeat that performance again?

Chatter
"Night Battle is a lottery, but we couldn't use that excuse anymore, so we planned every tiny aspect of the game right from what kind of shots to play after losing a wicket to how wide or slow to bowl to a batsman in the slog overs."DZCC personel advisor Mohammed Anas says the team's turnaround is no fluke.

I Have Worked Really Hard for Comeback

Mohammed Nazreen, the Dubai zahirirans Seamer and Middle order batsman who has made a comeback into the team for the Big Night Match 2010 this Thursday in Wonderland Park, is eager to grab the opportunity and cement his place in the club side.

"I have worked really hard during the last one-and-a-half Month to earn my comeback. Now that the selectors have chosen me for the job, I need to deliver the goods and make a long-lasting impression. I want to be part of the DZCC team for a longer period and for that the Big Night 2010 will be the most important game for me. The competition is tough but I need to stand out," Nazreen told blogger.

Nazreen was confident that the pitch in the Wonderland would aid swing. "I have never played in the WLP. But I have been told that the park wickets are quite similar to the turf ones. So, I am quite keen on bowling there. I have had a good domestic seasons in SRL but my form will give me the required boost and confidence," he said.

The Big Night 2010 begins one night after the Wendesday of this Week, raising the issue of fatigue, but nazreen believed that it would not be a problem. "I don't think so [that fatigue will have an impact]. Our top players like Haithar, Mohammed faris, Dasthakir, Rikaz and Mohammed Hillal are in top form so I think this will help them in the Wonderland because we won't have to start from the scratch. Also we have had closer look at our opposition players, so it will help us in a big way," Nazreen said.

Confident Faris eyes finisher role in DZCC team

Mohammed Faris who contributed a crucial 31-ball 55 in Dubai Zahirians' victory against Shiba Riders, is pleased with his batting form and believes he is ready to take over the role of finisher in the DZCC's limited-overs games.

"I can proudly say that I can be a good finisher. I would take that role of a finisher any day, it's a high-pressure job; Mohammed Razeen and Mohammed Rikaz have been doing it for sometime now and I want to take over that job," Faris told the blogpost. "I have been able to finish a few games for Dubai Zahirians and I want to do the same for all times to the team as well."

Faris is second only to DZCC in the list of run-getters for club so far in 2010, with 426 runs at an average of 31.08, and a strike-rate of 120.93. His form in the middle order, in addition to his Bowling skills, has been crucial to Zahirianss cause in the last few tournaments. "I do feel that I have been batting very well recently. It's tough for me to compare how I was batting before and now, but I am obviously very happy with the way my batting is shaping up and with the way I'm hitting the ball.

"For me, it has never been about being flashy, or about telling people how many shots I have in my kitty. When I am playing those shots I am just reacting to what the team requirements are. Over the years you learn and it comes through sheer experience. I also spend a lot of time at the nets - in fact, I have been working a lot with my coach but I think some of the decisions to play the shots come with my mental strength," Faris said.

"I realised that there was a problem with my mindset - I used to get worked up very easily and I needed to improve my Bowling. I made a conscious attempt to rectify those mistakes and I can confidently say that I have improved drastically," Faris said.

Zahirians seek return to winning ways

Dubai Zahiriaans have lost in WLP last friday but there's no need for them to hit the panic button yet. They are still one the top Team in UAE, and reaching the Last ball of the Game should not be too tough. What will worry them is the misfiring bowling, which has failed in last match, missing too many fast bowlers due to injury's. Nazreen,Faris,Rikaz and Fayas are those players not played last friday.

After loosing toss DZCC pulled to Bat First.

Dubai Zahirians eye another win

Match facts
Friday April 9, 2010
Start time 08.00 local time (0230 GMT)

 Big picture
Dubai Zahirians have turned around a disappointing start in 2010 by lost three of their last nine matches after losing their three, and have put themselves firmly in contention for a berth. They still have some work to do, but they'll have made significant strides towards that goal if they beat the hard jet11 boys of the Big match, in Wonderland Park on Friday.

Dubai Zahirians have lost two out of five games so far against Jet11, but DZCC will need to guard against complacency as Jet11 have several match-winners who can turn games around on their day. One of them in DZCC, Mohammed Faris, played an absolute gem to derail Shiba Riders on couple of Week ago, and with Hillal and Mohammed Arafath showing signs of returning to form as well, this could just be the beginning of some good times for Dubai Zahirians.

 Team talk
Both teams are coming off wins, and might be loathe to change their combinations. Hillal's & Arafath slot at the top of the order has strengthened DZCC's line-up considerably, though their bowling remains a bit of a concern.

Jet11, meanwhile, have been bolstered by the inclusion of Mohammed Zaneer, who made a vital contribution with the bowl in last there tours. The mature and cool-headed performance by Mohammed Shifan, and the aggression of Mohammed Naisar has eased some of their bowling worries too.also  All rounder and Left-arm fast bowler M. Nafeel is add to card

Previously…
both teams shared the wins equally, two for DZCC and two for JET11.

In the spotlight
Zaneer v Faris/haithar : Zaneer has regained some of zip and bounce that he seemed to have lost in the early stages of the Sesson, but if Faris stays at the crease long enough, it could be fascinating battle between the two. Hillal and Haithar are outstanding players of seam bowling,

We are taking it game by game and are pleased to have change the trend. We are not concerned over what happened in the past against JET11. We have started to get into gear and create opportunities to go up the ladder."Mohammed Anas, the DZCC Personal Advisor

'My style is my strength' - Mohammed Haithar

Mohammed Haithar has revealed that he has no intentions of changing his aggressive style of play, irrespective of the odd failure.

"When I play a cover-drive, I play it to score runs. I don't play a shot to get out. So, if the cover-drive ends up in a catch at any where, I am spared criticism. If it ends up in the hands at covers, I am slammed. The shot attempted has remained the same, only the mode of dismissal is different," Haithar told the Officical Site.

"My style is my strength. It is my natural game. That is how I grew up and scored most of my runs. I have matured in my shot selection but will not discard my style. I don't believe in wasting balls," Haithar said.

Haithar thanked the Dubai zahirians captains he has played under for their backing over the year. "I have been lucky to receive encouragement from all my captains [Mohammed Nazeer, Mohammed Razee and Mohammed Dasthakir]. They have always insisted on having me in the team and that means a lot to me."While he has scored runs at a fast clip - with strike-rates of 160.87 per 100 balls in Short Format, and 121.51 in T-20 - Haithar admitted that he has become more patient of late. "Sort of patient. Actually, I have become careful in my shot selection. I am neither over-defensive nor extra-aggressive.

Bowling attacks have tried to work him out over the year, by denying him room outside the off stump, and by bowling short, into his body, but Haithar has managed to find ways to score. "It is a mind game and I am good at it. I create shots to beat the field. Run-making has become tough,". Haithar said he was aware of the thin line separating success and failure, and it boiled down to how one chose to look at things. "Half empty or half full. A cover-drive for four or disaster. Praise will come when you do well. So, be prepared for brickbats when you fail. You are learning from both. Success prepares me well for the failures," he said.
