Mohammed Rimaz confident in current pool

The return of several experienced Zahirians players from the defunct SRL and UAE has not convinced DZCC bowler Mohammed Rimaz that his team needs to be tinkered with. Four former Zahira players - Mohammed Saflin, Nazreen, Haithar and Mohammed Fawzan - have been named in a 16-man man preliminary squad for the forthcoming tri-series but Rimaz was not too eager to make changes to a squad that has begun winning more consistently.

"It is good that they [the ZAHIRA players] have come to preliminary selections and are available for us but they have to continue performing because the boys who have been with us have won us games," he told reporters in burdubai.

One major concern for the team management is the opener Mohammed Arafath, whose extended run of poor form has put pressure on the batting line-up. Arafath's poor form from the games in the WLP and Aveer continued Ajman, when he flopped in every match against JBS. There has been talk of restoring Arafath, who scored a 38 (13) and 19 (5) against RSS in 2009 and showed promise before he went to the presure, back at the top but was hesitant to do so.

"Opening is a bit of concern but we did well in Queses where the opening pair added fifty-odd runs two game. Saflin has been a bit inconsistent although he is a talented player," he said. "Saflin was also very inconsistent when he left us for ZAHIRA. It is good that they are scoring runs in the UAE Cricket League but it is a big step up from club cricket to UAE cricket." Since 13 players defected to form the Resign in September last year, before the 2008-09 season of the cricket, DZCC have won 31 short games and 14 tournements games.

Rimaz began Bowler DZCC in October 2009, replacing Mohammed Fawzan, and during his tenure DZCC won their first WLP series, against AJMAN BLACKS in September this year. He recently had his contracted extended to June 2011.

Arafath and Bowlers help DZCC draw level

It’s a Good comeback today from the DZCC opener Arafath after two weeks failure. Just he start his mark with a massive six in Al-Quses today Morning. RSS are invite the DZCC for field after won the Toss in first game, it's a fifteen over's match. Haithar and Nazreen are back to Squad for big year end game. DZCC Bowlers Keep RSS 144/7 in there allowed 15 over's. Arafath gave such a big start for while he Dismiss makes his self 38 in just 13 balls with 6 sixes. Other one down Batsman Saflin (1st Game) makes unbeaten 28 well end the game in 14.2 over's. Middle order batsman's Razeen, Hillal and Dasthakir support to fill the blank for sanaz, Point sanaz missed today. In the Second game DZCC won the toss and take bat first it was a six over's game only. However the Arafath start same like 1st game he makes 19 in just four balls. New comer Nazreen bated at number 5 and makes unbeaten 25 well. End of there 6 over's DZCC finished there innings 83/6 it’s a massive target for RSS again. Anyhow in the final over they made successful 15 in Rikaz over for draw the series level

Haithar and Nazreen are recalled for tour of Queses

Mohammad Nazreen and Mohammed Haithar's UAE domestic career has been revived after they was added to DZCC's 16-man squad against Redsunsport tour to Al-Quses, following the team management's request for an extra fast bowlers. According to the DZCC Cricket Board, those two was recalled after the need for additional support to a bowling contingent comprising Mohammed Hillal, Mohammad Razeen, Mohammad Rikaz and Razmar was raised.

"I am very happy and am confident of making the most of this chance to resurrect my career," said Nazreen, who returned to DZCC's domestic fold after cutting ties with the now defunct SRL domestic.Nazreen, 27, played the last of his 33, largely unfulfilling game in December 2009 against JBS after he had drifted to the sidelines of DZCC's short format attack. Those three games in WLP yielded just four wickets and he was again discarded to return to the domestic circuit. But he has picked up 19 wickets so far this season while captaining Srilankan local tour , with one five-wicket bag.There are other fast bowlers with better returns for the current first-class season, such as young Mohammad Fawzan, and those who have played limited-overs cricket for DZCC this year, like Ayyub padladka.

But Nazreen's experience of playing UAE cricket, and two games in Daith, appeared to have worked in his favour. Nazreen has taken 31 wickets in 24 short format macthes.Apart from two games, DZCC will play one ten and a fifteen over on the tour tomarrow in AL-Quses. With him the allrounder Haithar also recalled for squad.it seens this two recalls maybe going to boost DZCC's power with RSS SC.

Its a testing time for DZCC, Because last two weeks Mohammed Hillal and Ziyad was unexceptly more expence runs with noballs and Injury.ziyad officialy takes 3 weeks rest so he is going to miss upcoming importent year end tour in Queses.Hillal had lot problems with noballs past few games its turn his rank as number four.

So whats the next plan?DZCC need a good frontline fast bowlers coming week.there is few option favor to DZCC, one nazreen and Haithar are back to Squad this week.those two take vacation last 56 days.with that DZCC have more two allrounders.good time that Razmar was back to form.fawzan also waiting from his injury but unfortunetly Rimaz fill the blank last few games successfuly so dout there for fawzans back."He could come in and be an impact bowler. I see him bowling short, aggressive spells of two or three overs, really mixing it up," Sanaz said at the press meet.

With the opening bowlers and batsmen playing a crucial role, Hillal is under pressure, especially after being earmarked to captain DZCC in Ajman. if Ziyad opts out of the tour to rest. "Hilla does need a good series, he's got a lot of pressure on him in terms of being labelled for the position," said Anas. "Against the top sides his performances have been below par and he has consistently scored runs against the top sides. But he could clear all that in one series. If he goes and has a great series his position is solid again.

Early wickets are the factor Rimaz said will determine the series and he suggested it was something both sides could struggle with. "The main area will be the opening bowlers. If you go and ask the local Domestic teams, they are not sure their attack can take 20 wickets and it's probably DZCC's concern as well. Whichever side takes the most wickets in the first 5 overs will give themselves the best chance of winning the series. With concerns over Fawzan's fitness growing, Ziyad admitted it would be a huge blow if he pulled up short. "He's developed in the last year, he knows when it's in his favour and when he has to hold it back," he said. "The one thing he has is the ability to take wickets up front."

Arafath prepared to bide his time

Arafath Mohammed the DZCC wicket keeping Batsman,There was a time when form was the be-all and end-all for DZCC, but an evolving side has shown they can win without contributions from their leading batsman. That should give him some breathing space after he admitted to finding it "quite hard" slotting back into UAE Domestic cricket following his four-match failure lay-off.

However, despite a slow start in Aveer, Arafath is not going to burden himself with undue pressure ahead of the upcomming series. His contributions since returning to DZCC colours in the second Knokout tour at Jumaira Park - one match ahead of schedule due to a long injury list - have been limited to 185 runs in five innings. In DZCC's two victories he contributed 4 and 3 and looked like a player with plenty of rust to shake off.

That should hardly be surprising after being out of action since July, but such are the expectations that surround Arafath questions start to be asked when he isn't making the batsman's life a misery. He admits it has been difficult readjusting following the first long-term Failure of his career and was denied the chance to relieve some frustrations when runs washed out DZCC's net session at Wonderland Park. "It's tough when you come back from a long injury or Failure, both mentally and physically and also turning up at Aveer and playing that game when I wasn't meant to," he said. "It is quite difficult and I'm finding it quite hard at the moment, but I'm doing everything I can to get myself back to where I was. However, one player who probably won't mind some extra time to put his feet up is Mohammed Saflin (tito). He has rejoined the squad in Srilanka having stayed behind in Dubai zahirians to have a third injection to be seen how much of a part he plays in the warm-up matches.

Mohammed Rikaz doubtful for triangular series

Rikaz the DZCC allrounder, is in doubt for the triangular series against AJMAN BLACKS SC in comming Friday,after he ignored medical advice and continued to play with a fractured hand, the DZCB has said.





Rikaz, who has scored 864 runs in 46 limited overs games at 22.24, had injured his left hand while batting against Rothmans SC in an 15 overs game in Aveer on last wendsday. Initial scans did not reveal a fracture, but the failure to recover prompted a re-examination on day after tomarow, and a hairline fracture was brought to notice. He was advised against any batting during practice or matches until December 18.





"Despite these clear verbal and written instructions, for unclear reasons Rikaz had tried batting on a number of occasions, both before and after he was diagnosed with a fracture," the DZCB said in a statement. "After every time (he batted]), he complained of increased pain, swelling, and an inability to adequately grip the bat, let alone bat with comfort or competence. "This ongoing aggravation and re-injury will delay Rikaz's recovery, and could give him long term issues with the wrist. As such, there is now some doubt as to his ability to return to fitness by the next Domestic duties in early January." The triangular series gets underway on Decenber 11 in Al-Quses, and will be followed by DZCC taking on the Biggest year end event lankan lions tourement on 18 December in Ajman.

DZCC take series after Aveer washout

It's not how Dasthakir Mohammed would have wanted to lead DZCC to a bit of history, but he'll gladly take it after runs forced the two 15 overs matches at Aveer to be abandoned and handed the tourists their first limited-overs series victory in National Day Tour - 09.As well as their first 15 overs success in the Aveer, DZCC have also become just the second team to beat ROTHMANS CC on home ground in a bilateral 15 overs series after LANKAN BOYS managed it twice. That is a notable achievement for Dastha and Players considering that a little over two months ago they were turned over 2-1 by LANKAN BOYS.

"It's a big step forward for the group," Dastha said. "To be only the second team to win out here is an achievement to be proud of. The players had to buy into trying to play a slightly more attacking brand of cricket and at the same time to up our fielding and to be more consistent with the ball. "I think the guys have enjoyed having the shackles taken off them to a certain extent. A lot of our cricket over the last few years has been played like men under a lot of pressure. A lot of the players were under pressure, playing for their places and because the results weren't very good."It's encouraging to know we are going in the right direction but I'd be the last person to say we're the finished article."

DZCC's 3-0 victory against ROTHMANS at Dubai last year is often pulled out when talking about impressive performances, but that was against a visiting side that had achieved their main target of a National Day Tour - 09 victory and were ready to go home. This time there were early points to be scored - that's the advantage of holding the and DZCC have done more than enough to quieten the hosts who were quite happy to make some bombastic statements in the build-up. The hosts certainly haven't lived up to the hype."Our next series is in International City (INTERCONTINEL HOTEL CC) where the [2010] UAE Cup is going to be played," Arafath Mohammed said. "Hopefully by then we will have a fully-fit squad and a squad which has developed from here. "There's a break now and there will be a few new faces in our squad," he added. "The last one year have been really terrific for us in club cricket and we want to carry it on. DZCC have an winning squad so it bodes well for a good series."

Ziyad keen to do more with the ball

DZCC fast bowler Ziyad has expressed his keenness to make a bigger contribution with the ball in the First Match against Sharja CC in Jumaira. Ziyad bowled just two overs in Matale Cricket Series due to his knee injury, leaving Mohammed Hillal, Razeen Mohamed, Mohamed Rikaz and Shafi with an additional responsibility to fill in for the fifth bowler.

Dasthakir had admitted the extent of the workload the four bowlers had to bear, in having to bowl out JBS SC twice, was huge. DZCC can expect the physical demands of winning the next Series to be greater, especially as their bowlers are recovering from injuries. Fawzan is missing the big toe-nail on his left foot, Rikaz is nursing an injured shoulder and Nazeer is awaiting scans on his dislocated finger."It definitely hurts me not being able to do that (bowl) because you saw how hard the bowlers toiled," Ziyad told DZCC Press Relese. "It's tendonitis. I've just been battling with that a bit. I had it in Jumaira but hopefully I can take a load off the bowlers. It's about (bowling) loads and how the inflammation is at the time. It has good days and bad days."

Ziyad has managed just two wickets at an average of 38 in last four 20 overs games but has bowled more often, and has had more success, in the 10 overs short format, taking 17 wickets at 23 While establishing himself as a solid middle-order batsman in limited-overs cricket, Ziyad is still fighting for a long-term slot in 20 overs game. "It's runs and wickets at the end of the day," he said. "For me, every 20 overs innings I play I'm looking to establish my position and stamp my authority on the game. Hopefully it will be in this Comming tour."

ya i whould like to say the current situation was good balance in Batting department and bowling department.however the front line fast bowler's getting injury regulerly last few months. eg mohammed Ziyad was outof team for four months in 2009,in that situation medium fast bowlers cant fullfill the blank for loose top order defenders.so DZCC need some more sub fast bowlers in team card.

what ever targets that DZCC left in this year?
yes we have to go a long way in uae Cricket world,but the lankan boys i know rank 1 strong team in uae last 2 years.we have lost 2 times in 2009,so our main target was lankan boys anyhow we are strong enough now for defend lankan boys.

Fasir out of Next tour

Fasir Mohammed, the DZCC allrounder, has been ruled out of the Next tour with a side strain. Fasir, 27, suffered the injury during the recently-concluded Matale Chempions Series in Wonderland park last Friday, but was named in the 15-member DZCC squad for the two matches against Le-Meridian Hotel later this month. it's Mean he leftout for 2 weeks this month.

Selection committee sources stated that Fasir had failed to recover sufficiently in net from the injury and would miss the tour. A replacement for Fasir Mohammed is expected to be named shortly. Right-arm fast bowler Mohammed Fawzan is the likely choice. Fawzan toured Wonderland for the Matale cup Series but did not play a single match due to a technical problem with his follow-through, where he was balled lot Extras in net. On his return Fawzan worked on his flaw with the DZCC Cricket fast-bowling coaches and had rectified it satisfying the selectors to consider him as a replacement for the injured Fasir.

"The selectors as well as a lot of people have been saying that Fawzan is bowling at practice level and that he is a better bowler for the longer version and that he will be a very good support bowler for Hillal," he said. "The selectors were of the opinion that Fawzan would be a good choice if it comes to playing two fast Bowlers. We went with that direction."Razmar has been with us for quite some time, he has toured a lot and played a lot of cricket. Unfortunately Razmar hasn't had the opportunity to play cricket start of 2009 because of Fasir and the combinations that we went with but on and off he's had his opportunities. He's still part of the game.

The big thing is the mental rest," Sanaz told the Official Site. "This last few months has been one of the toughest of my career, with the vice captaincy debacle in 2009 start plus the injury. My knee's won't hamper me any more and I definitely feel fresh mentally. I'll be starting off really enjoying myself -- and this year I haven't particularly enjoyed playing cricket because I was in pain and because of what happened in January. It's been a tough thing for me."

Razmar says Next Week didn't cause injury

Mohammed Razmar has refused to blame the Srilankans Triangular Series 2009 for the Knee injury that prevented him from bowling his full quota in the First game against JBS SC and kept him out the next game. His remarks on Saturday followed recent references by his captain and board to the next week disrupting the team's preparations for the tour.

"I don't think it's got anything to do with the Triangular series," RAZMAR said. "I want to play as much cricket as I possibly can, and with me missing the few month and having four month in Srilanka where I was only bowling in the nets and not in matches, to me it's about playing a lot of cricket.Unfortunately when you're trying to bowl fast and you've got back-to-back series, times will come where there'll be a niggle here and there. It's not a long-term thing - a mild thing, and I was pretty much due to have a rest in one or two games last series anyway."

That said, Razmar's performance in the final of the Srilankans Triangular Series was instrumental in DZCC winning the title and he said he had no second thoughts about playing for his College. "That's [Zahira] where I was born, that's what I'm all about. I had the opportunity to play and I thought it would be the perfect lead-in to the series over here. If I didn't play the series, would I have picked up a niggle? Who knows, but all I can say is I'm enjoying my cricket and DZCC always comes first."

"I still want to play cricket, definitely. I want my spot back and I'll be doing everything I possibly can to get it. I had the ankle injured earlier this year, got back to full fitness, and have been very pleased with the way the ball's been coming out. "I don't think I can ask any more of my body, I'm still only young. Yes I'm 30, but I keep saying I don't feel 30. You will have your niggles as a medium fast bowler, but I still want to play a lot more years of cricket, and definitely be playing at my best level. One-day cricket of course, that's always been thereabouts, but cricket for me is where it's at."

"So often when my name and career are spoken about it is in a negative manner. I actually have to keep reminding myself that I am really very proud of what I have achieved as a Skipper in the last few Months."

How have you achieved such longevity?
I suppose I have good genes, but above all else it is an overwhelming love for the game. The players who started at the same time as me have retired a long time ago because they don't have that same love. My experience has kept me going as well because eight times out of 10 when I go out to bat I'm not feeling as good as I would like, I am not middling the ball, the feet aren't moving; but experience helps you deal with it.

How has the UAE cricket changed in the last year?
When I started, the bowling was faster. Back then there was an amazing conveyor belt of DZCC, so every team would have a bowler who could bowl at maximum Speed. Now there are few bowlers who can push you on the back foot. With the slow pitches, too, it can be very, very hard work for the bowlers.

What changes would you like to see at team level?
One radical idea, which I don't see happening, is to create nine regional teams and pair counties together,You would produce a strong competition, one in which you would have to perform at your best in every game. changes are change game but currently nothing except me lolz.

How much longer will you go on playing?
I know I have two years left on my strenth but enjoyment is a big thing for me at my age and it hasn't been very enjoyable lately with Surrey bringing up the rear and losing a lot of games. No longer playing cricket is a scary thought, without a doubt. It has been my life since I was 17, so being without it and dealing with the transition will be difficult. Going into a career as a well wisher.

DZCC captain Mohammed Nazir after the Weekly Match on Friday said his team was hungry united arb Emirates cricket but regretted that match-fixing allegations and inquiry has brought bad name to the club past few months, people and players."We haven't played Domestic cricket for sometime which makes players hungry for success. I am going with a positive approach and happy with the form the boys have shown in past cricket," a determined Nazir said from Wonderland park.

Lack of DZCC cricket has kept the fire burning in the boys and I don't see any reason why they wouldn't excel in Eid Gurd." Razeen 'happy' to return as vice captain

Mohammed Razeen has taken back his resignation, paving the way for his return to the DZCC's vice captaincy, satisfied that the environment in which he will continue leading the side is now more conducive than before.Fawaz Sally, the DZCC chairman, said on Monday that the board had rejected the resignation Razeen handed in last week via mail. At the same time he offered Razeen the stability that he has wanted since becoming vice captain in February this year, saying that, if fit, he will vice captain DZCC till the end of zahirians.

Razeen said he was overwhelmed with the support he had received in the week after he handed in his papers at a Assembly committee hearing in Burdubai. "I am very happy right now," Razeen told Official site. "The faith that the chairman and the board has placed in me again, it's good to know. The support that I have received from the board and the players through this time has been fantastic." There were believed to be various reasons behind Razeens's resignation, though he never openly stated them. It is believed that as well as the suspicions of match-fixing raised in the aftermath of DZCC's Lossnes, murmurs about factions in the team and management working to undermine Razeen spurred the move.and he suddenly injured well.

Razeen refused to go into details, however, maintaining only that, "the environment is good right now and I am very happy with it. All that has happened over the last night, all the effort is worthwhile now." Razeen said he expects to be fit for DZCC's next assignment.and the specteters want to wait few days ahead.

Injured Dasthakir likely to miss this Week -Friendly Match

DZCC's Left arm Batsman Mohammed Dasthakir fears he will be out of cricket for nearly a Week to nurse his injured thumb.Mohammed dasthakir, who suffered the injury during the BIG MATCH against Jet Lankans, has said he is doubtful for the 15 Overs Game against JetLankans in the Wonderland park next Friday but is hopeful of making it in time for the next season later in this week."The doc in DZCC seemed to think it might be seven to ten days but I won't know for sure till (later today)," Dasthakir told the official site. "I think I'm out of (the Jetlankans Friendly series) and I might be back for the next matches.

Dasthakir played through pain in the BIG MATCH -09 Trophy against Jetlankans last friday, scoring a patient beaten 29 under pressure to steer Victory for DZCC.The Srilanka-born allrounder said he was very satisfied with his performances in the Last weeks."In a three-match series I always try and aim to win at least two games, with the bat," Dasthakir said. "I was a bit disappointed with some of my scores. I was getting 20s and 30s quite often but wasn't going on, so that Jetlankans BIG MATCH innings was quite big for me to go on and finish the job. That's my role, to pet the Anchor and win the game."

Players won't look forward

Sanaz, who is recovering from injury and hoping to make DZCC's upcomming tour's, said Razeen's situation was different from his but admitted that franchise cricket was tempting to players. "Sanaz's in a different position to me because he's finished his career before then ifthy the who recall back, his body is sort of finishing itself off," he told the Official site. "He puts such a workload through his legs and his knees and his ankles. I'm just a batsman. I love scoring runs for DZC. I hate being out injured. I'm not going to make a sob story out of it, because I just want to try and recharge my batteries after a month of a rollercoaster ride. "But I think the reality of it is now, with last few games and everything around, central contracts are not necessarily going to be things people are going to look forward to."

Board of control said central contracts did not mean the same that they did when they were first introduced because of the lucrative alternate options available now. He felt the DZCC board needed to rotate players so that they got adequate rest. "You do want guys playing to the best of their ability and not just thinking: 'Oh, here we go again. Right, I'm going to bat three times this week, I'll try tomorrow, I'll try the next day.'"

Hillal said there was too much cricket being played, with the result that the quality of the game drops. "Srilankan cricketers coming into the UAE environment, they don't face fast bowling and they don't face quality bowlers. The reason they don't face Much tape ball cricket there,People won't bowl 90 miles an hour [in those circumstances]."I honestly think that cricket in this country needs to be regionalised and you need to play each match like a T-20 instead of up and down the country, playing every week. It's an horrendous grind, especially if you're nowhere near the lead. If it was four or five teams fighting it out for something, it's a lot closer."

DZCC have crashed out early from a second Game in less than four months after being one of the favourites to win, leaving the captain M.Nazeer wondering where the campaign unravelled."We were off the boil against JBS in first match and we lost. Then we had a washout and we won the match against JBS. I can't say if our performance was bad."After winning the Tringuler Cup in Eid Gurden when Ifthy the Skipper earlier this month, Ifthy had said the bowling and fielding needed to improve but the two departments weren't at their best in Comming games.

"We will reflect on how our bowlers bowled with too much width and how much work we need to put into our fielding department. That needs some work but these things are not going to change in a week. We have to put in much more effort." One of the bright spots for DZCC was Siraj's mature batting against JBS;was there only few batsman to make a half-century in the match, finishing on an unbeaten 52.Siraj batted at No. 2 on Friday, and in his short career has already opened the innings and also played at No. 4 "I am happy to bat up or down the order as the team needs. I got experience of that in the last months, where I was shuffled around the order too.

"Siraj said after his Great performance. "I am happy to bat up the order because that gives me more overs to face and I can win matches for the team that way. But if I am to be down the order then that's not too much of a problem." "I bowl regularly in the nets and I decided that the pitch would be good for me to bowl on," Nazeer said. "We had two first-choice fast bowlers and two medium faces &reserve bowler in Irshad. thought if I could put in a couple of good overs that would be the way to go and the proper bowlers would be left to do the job at the end."Nazeer said that the team had "good time to prepare for the Next series" but hoped that his key players - DZCC were missing M.Sanaz, M.Razeen and M.Ziyad.

Sanaz's injury could change DZCC's plans

DZCC's campaign suffered a major setback even before it started with M.Sanaz fracturing a Knee during a last game between JBS in Al-Qusas. The injury will sideline him for three weeks, which puts him in doubt for the series against JBS.M.Fasir will replace him in the Current Series while M.Arafath takes over as vice-captain.

Sanaz's absence presents fascinating challenges to a batting line-up struggling to cope with M.Razeen's unavailability and the failures of Arafath and Siraj.Fasir was recalled as a result of those problems, and his role grows in stature with the current crisis.There has been a pattern to DZCC's innings since Razeen's out:Sanaz solid at the top,Hillal and Nazeer anchors the innings during the middle overs, while sanaz provides firepower to propel DZCC to a strong total. That will now have to change.

Sanaz's injury is likely to most affect Skipper. Of late Arafath has adopted a more sedate approach and has almost cut out his big shots. It could be said that even when Arafath tried to play big shots during the Middle overs of, and in tournaments like the Lions Tour, he could not pull them off consistently. However, with Sanaz in the team, Arafath could play the anchoring role, which he has done brilliantly. Time and again he promoted himself, especially when DZCC made a good start, to steer the side through the middle overs, allowing others to flex there muscles at the end.

Nazeers's re-adjustment process could be helped by the presence of Fasir, whose much-discussed - and in some quarters much criticised - comeback couldn't have been timed better.Arafath again can play the anchoring role, one that obviously suits him, and it might help him as well. He might have been under pressure earlier to increase the run-rate but now his role will be to bat through the innings.Fasir normally starts Slowly but by the end of his innings his strike-rate is usually acceptable. Now, he can afford to start slowly without the added pressure.That worked like a charm but it may change now.Nazeer could be forced to do what he has given up, turning the clock back and playing the aggressive shots that captured the imagination of his fans. It will be intriguing to see what route he takes: Will he bat at No 4 and leave the attacking roles to his younger team-mates, or will he take it up himself?

DZCC look for more discipline in bowling

DZCC's deal is not quite done yet. Two losts from two, in this last series with JBS, at least means onward progress to the next match rests in their own hands. Regardless of the result between JBS SC at AL-Qusas, they will be aiming to keep their game in working order when they take on the JBS SC this week again.

"Our preparation is going really well at the moment,"Arafath, DZCC's opening batsman, said after an energetic training session at the AL-Qusas. "You have to have different strategies against different sides. You can't go with the same strategy as we did against JBS SC few days ago. We have to look at their strengths batting and bowling and prepare accordingly to that." DZCC will be confident, despite a poor last record against JBS SC; they've won only 10 of the last 12 encounters between the JBS. "You cannot deny they are won last two macthes. We lost the series earlier this year (3-2) but I reckon we should've won it and we beat them in the last few months. We are confident.

"It's always a challenge to play against better sides. This team has so much potential. Everyone has got a role, batsmen, bowlers and fielders and they all know what to do. If plan A doesn't work the captain is there to implement plan B. We have to take JBS SC key points and work to that."Though progress has been smooth, DZCC are not without dilemmas. The first is a pleasant, selectorial one. Mohammad Razmar&Mohammed Rikaz has yet to play a part in the last three month, despite intense speculation before each of the two games. If the game becomes a dead rubber, he may well get a look-in. "It's a very healthy sign that your bench strength is such that good players have to sit out. The problem is for selectors in picking a team - if a guy is bowling well, how can you drop him? It is a healthy sign."

"We are very strict when we do practice and we always call no exrta in the nets. At times what happens is that pressure builds up and you stretch and strive and that is where you go wrong. It shouldn't happen at all. I don't think there will be that much pressure against JBS SC next match - we want to keep winning. It's a crime to bowl a no-ball or wide."

DZCC have been boosted by the inclusion of three players after absentees had left them weakened ahead of the 2nd Match with JBS on October 2. Mohammed Rikaz, bowler Ziyad and Mohammed Razmar have been called up to the squad but their opponents JBS will field a severely depleted team.these three are missed in last match with JBS SC and unluckly DZCC lost the match on October 25.
