Faris and Hillal sets up victory

The youngsters shone for Dubai Zahirians as they defeated Jumairah Riders by five wickets in the year end big match 2010 at jumairah Park.Mohamed Hillal ripped the heart out of the Jumairah line-up with a brutal spell of three for 18 in four overs, and Mohammed Faris fearless half-century ensured the chase went smoothly for the hosts. The visitors had rocketed to 32 for 3  in 5.5 overs Hillal struck two times in five deliveries to derail the middle order of JRC,

using his height and pace to torment the batsmen on the quick, hard surface, and throwing in the odd slower ball to keep them guessing.Faris, Sanaz and Rasmi then attacked the Jumairah Riders bowling with style and chutzpah, to get his team off to a rapid start, and continued to attack throughout there innings, despite the fall of wickets at the other end Faris have continue untill the end.Rasmi began with gusto as he flayed Abdul Malik for 15 in his first over with two commanding strikes and a tickle down to fine leg, before hoisting Mohammed Haithar for a giant six over square-leg.

Mohammed Sanaz uppercut his second ball for six, but was undone soon after by Zakeer, attempting an ugly slog across the line to an indipper that pegged back leg stump.however faris fireworks at the other end boosted the score to 55 in five overs.

Mohammed Hillal making another history in Dubai Zahirians taking his 200th Wicket in 73rd short format games, taking Mohammed Haithar as his histical wicket in 3rd own over he slog to long on and rasmi taked clear and ground was seen full of celebration.

Zahirians Lost Two in Row

The other question was whether they could inflict an big gap defeat on Dubai Zahirians something they had never done at zahirians home. They did, dismissing the tailenders in less than six overs on last friday, while mohammed sanaz remained a good innings again provided 42 in there chase. The length of JET11's was going to be determined by Sanaz's approach, and once he showed no intention of farming the strike, exposing Roshan and Rikaz by taking singles, the home team knew JET11 and there bowlers wouldn't make them field for too long.

after loosing the toss dubai zahirians are pulled to field first.first quter was totaly with zahirians Hilla and Rikaz provided 27 in five overs with out taking wickets. speacialy hillal dominated the three overs for just 13 runs but after JET11 batsmans got there way in to game.middle order scored 100 runs in last 4 overs blasted every way in wonderland.finelly they got 160/4 in 12 overs, except sanaz other DZCC batsmans just made single numbers and lost by 46 runs.

The Big Picture
There's Zahirians's crackerjack opening combination against JET11's hostile new-ball attack; an accomplished middle order attempting to perform in the only it has underperformed in; and a richly talented seam attack, challenged primarily by its own inconsistency, striving to unsettle a batting line-up moored by two batsmen, one serene, the other substantial. And then there's the pitch - very hard, a little more damp - and the weight of history these two teams, both ancient and recent: DZCC have lost only four out of 12 short format games.

A chunk of the build-up has centered around the potential damage Mohammed Sanaz, and his partner Mohammed Siraj or Mohammed Haithar, could inflict on JET11's campaign. If they bat for a while, DZCC could make easy win; if they bat for longer,  its sure win for them, which moves the forward at rapid speed. Knock Sanaz over and it all slows down, making it easier for DZCC's opponents to control the pace. JET11 have been tailoring plans to straitjacket Sanaz.

Watch out for...
Mohammed Sanaz has made his name in the limited-overs game with a series of match winning few months ago before he injured innings last week in same venue was effortless. The challenge for sanaz is to focus his energy into building long innings, although one match against RSS won't push him to his limits.

Team news

Zahirians have no fitness issues and only have to decide between Mohammed ziyad and Mohammed Rasmi. Ziyad is the favourite because his bowling skills add variety to those offered by Hillal and Haithar.

Dubai Zahirians: (probable) 1 Dasthakir (capt), 2 Razeen, 3 Rikaz, 4 Sanaz, 5 Ziyad, 6 Roshan, 7 siraj (wk), 8 saflin, 9 Haithar, 10 Ayyub, and 11 Hillal.

Pitch and Conditions
there was more swing than antone expected in the last game and this game will be played on the same surface so the seamers are likely to be key again.

Dasthakir backs Sanaz for future squad

Mohammed Dasthakir the Dubai Zahirians skipper, has said opening batsman Sanaz's performances in the last game against RSS have made him a strong contender for a place in the future squad. He narrowly missed out on his half century, making 38 in the first match after 6 months in Wonderland, and got 72 not out in the last match he played before six months in nad-al-shiba.

"Sanaz has been in and out of the team due to knee injury but he has performed well on this tour," Dasthakir, who is also DZCC selector, said. "There are about four guys competing for that [the opener] place in the future team, but Sanaz has proved himself worthy of a spot." Arafath, Siraj and Rasmi are the rest of Sanaz. He was flown in as a replacement for the injured Arafath during in Jumairah, and then took Mohammed Rasmi's place in the squad as well after Siraj's injured his calf.

Mohammed Dasthakir  though, was confident there wouldn't be questions over his captaincy following the poor run. "I think I have led the team as well as I can. We understand the result. They change me if they feel there is a need to do it." He has captained Dubai Zahirians in 43 short format games.

Zahirians's next assignment is a home series against indian team, which will see them play two 10 overs games in same wonderland. Dasthakir said Dubai Zahirians needed to perform against indians to regain confidence ahead of the next summer 2011, but they were more comfortable playing at home. All of Zahirinas last five losses in 12 have come on outside pitches dubai. The last time they played an series at home was against Nad-al-Shiba in March, a series they won 2-1. In February, they beat JBS SC 2-0 at same home ground.

and Dasthakir said RSS had a good chance of winning in future. "they have been the one of leading team in UAE in recent times. They are an experienced side with some remarkably talented batsmen and bowlers. I think cricket fans would be keen that they play some lively cricket."

Raishad's century seals win for RSS

Dubai Zahirians second game as their batting failed to cope with moist early-morning conditions in Wonderland last friday.Zahirians put RSS on bat first after won the toss in a 12 overs limited game.opening bowling pair Hillal and Roshan did well to control the RSS innings with a wicket.but in other end Raisad the opener for RSS, first century batting first, his second overall and second in a row, set up an eventually comfortable win for RSS. they did lose their way in the first four overs of innings.

The pitch had little of the early-morning demons it is famous for, and all the RSS batsmen got starts. Raishad wasn't as flashy as the others, but only he converted the start to a great century.after few first overs Rikaz and Razeen are in paid back all of the saves to Raishad.they have scored 147/5 in there allowed 12 overs. in chese only the replacement sanaz scored 36 and others are dident read the RSS bowlers well. DZCC scored only 122/8 and loss there first game after 5 weeks rest.

Siraj, Razeen and Rikaz in squad

Dubai Zahirians selectors have dumped fast bowlers Mohammed Faris and Mohammed Ziyad, recalled allrounder Mohammed Rikaz, and included Mohammed Razeen and Mohammed Siraj in their squad to face Redsun Sports in the tour starting at the Wonderland on Friday. The pair will join Mohammed Shadeek and another uncapped fast bowler, Mohammed Hillal, who have been retained in the squad.

Chairman of selectors Mohammed Farman said that with their main spearhead Mohammed Faris unavailable for next few matches, Zahirians are going through a transitional period of trying to find the right combination of fast bowlers to share the new ball in next matches."Some of them cannot play back-to-back matches. This is something unheard of in the past. In Faris's case we have even promoted him to the top category in the player contracts, but he is not fit enough to play for two weeks."

Rikaz played the last of his in Augest 2010 against JBS at Jumairah. The 21-year-old Shadeek is a right-arm medium fast bowler who represents Godapola yoth in the Premier club tournements. With the recall of Razeen and Rikaz, DZCC will have to decide who will play the first match after the disappointing performance put on by Faris and Haithar at WLP.captain Mohammed Dasthakir was critical of the bowling. "The first six overs were probably okay, although we didn't make the batsmen play too much. But after that I thought the lines and the lengths we bowled on this track was not good enough for us to put any pressure on them either to get wickets or to cut down on the runs.

"It's two things on these tracks. No. 1 is to try and make the new ball work for us. If it doesn't work in picking up wickets how we build up pressure by bowling one side of the wicket to one set field. It's nice to limit them to one side and dry the runs up. Those are the things we got to do a bit better and when that happens with our seamers we can build a lot of pressure."

Dubai Zahirians : Dasthakir (c), Razeen, Rikaz, Rasmi, Shadeek, Siraj, Hillal, Ayyub, Razmar, Rimaz and Haithar.

'Happy with my fitness' - Razmar

Mohammed Razmar, the Dubai Zahirians medium facer batsman said he is happy with his fitness and the next step in his recovery from injury is putting bat to ball again.Razmar missed the few last series due to his vacation and knee problems. He has been named in the side that will take on Colombo Lions in a two matches series starting October 29 in Sharjah.

"It's important to get back into the rhythm," told the Official page in an chat. "I have increased my batting time at the srilanka and am happy with my fitness." it was very frustrating to sit in home and watch Zahirians playing. To be honest, missing out on a game after being dropped feels bad but to sit out with injury and watch other people play feels even worse." "It is not just about playing the every game in future but it's about being in good form and being absolutely fit. I plan to build on it from this Colombo Lions serie

The biggest challenge, according to him, will be starting from scratch after the layoff. "When you go out to bat in a match after a long break, you just try to test if you still have the old touch. When you come back from a break, you need time to get used to things around you. If you look, I haven't played much in the last month. It's a challenge that I am now looking forward to meet."

Dubai Zahirians (probable) : 1.Dasthakir (c), 2.Rasmi (wk), 3.Razmar, 4.Faris, 5.Haithar, 6.Nazeer, 7.Fayas, 8.Ayyub, 9.Shadeek, 10.Hillal, 11.Nawshard.

Haithar to miss next game in Sharjah

Mohammed Haithar the Dubai Zahirians Valuble all-rounder, will not take part in next series in Sharjah against Colombo Lions in Veg Market ground on thursday and could miss the subsequent upcomming few series. The fast bowler and batsman has a "mild to moderate ankle sprain", said team selector Mohammed Anas.

Haithar, sustained the injury while fielding, after bowling just two overs in the triangular series-2010 He was taken off the park and had an ice pack applied to his right ankle immediately. "The players did the right thing by icing him quickly because he has had problems with his ankle in the past," he previously suffered an ankle injury in December 2009, when he fell on his ankle after bowling the first ball in a tour match against Shiba Riders in Nad-al-Shiba.The injury, according to club, has been diagnosed Grade One or Two but a more thorough conclusion will be reached on Wednesday. Haithar will undergo a scan in Satwa, where the squad will be preparing for the series against Colombo Lions, which starts on October 28.

"He is going to stay with the team, although we expect him to be out for 7 to 10 days, which means he may miss the two matches against Colombo Lions,"anas said, Should that happen it would leave Dubai Zahirans without their two premier strike bowlers, since Ziyad is still recovering from concussion and swelling on the lower back, He said more the idea is to have both bowlers fit in time to play soon as possible.Mohammed Fasir is the most likely candidate to replace Haithar in Sharjah starting eleven.

Zahirians complete clean sweep

another nail-biting victory to dubai zahirians in the final game against Ajman Boys sparked rapturous celebrations in the Global Village few nights ago, dubai zahirians won the toss and selected to bat first that showed plenty of fire in the first half of the dead rubber, Rasmi and Faris yet again The pair became more adventurous as they spent time at the crease, picking up the occasional boundary and hitting the gaps with ease as the field began to spread in the first couple of overs. they have complite the eight overs with a massive 107/5. Rasmi the new replacement what a time he have with zahirians in last few weeks, his third fifty was came on right time in Triangular Series 2010 ,

The match had been set up by an excellent batting performance from the DubaiZahirians top order, AJB need a 42 runs in 3 overs was a good stand for them, no one else can do better more then Hillal's dead over in that situation just 2 runs for three wickets what a performer is he????

Nazeer returns to DZCC

Dubai Zahirians have announced a 15-man squad to take Shiba Riders on Nad-Al-Shiba in two 10 overs games later this month, but surprisingly not named Siraj,Razeen and Arafath. Razeen has been - in Srilanka for his Vacation, notwithstanding - the limited-overs Vice captain since April this year and is in but not yet as player for this tour.

The other surprise is the return, yet again, of Mohammed Nazeer to bolster the middle order and bowling line. Nazeer was dropped from the set-up after the tour of WLP earlier in the year due to vacation.as the selectors looked to move towards younger options. But an impressive Man-of-the-Tournament performance in Zahira maybe impressive the selectors too.

The team will also be without Mohammed Siraj who has just undergone an appendicitis operation in srilanka. Mohammed Rasmi, who replaced Siraj for one game in the summer against JET11 and scored a valiant 58, has been given an opportunity to build on that first impression. DZCC will already be without two key short format players in Mohammed Rikaz and Mohammad Ziyad, both of whom are out of UAE. There continues to be no place in the side for a pair, Mohammed Haithar and Mohammed Faris.and Mohammed Nisar the new player he ready to play his first tour with dubai zahirians.

Mohammed Arafath Seeking the rest due to his vacation too, so he is ruled out for the DZCC former Captain Nazeer's returns.team selecters said that "bowlers want to be stand in nad-al-shiba because of the condition they going to play; so we thought nazeer going to be a good change for sutable shiba" No selector was available to comment on the decision.

Dubai Zahirians (probable) : 1.Dasthakir (c), 2.Rasmi (wk), 3.Nisar, 4.Faris, 5.Haithar, 6.Nazeer, 7.Fayas, 8.Ayyub, 9.Shadeek, 10.Roshan, 11.Nawshard, 12.Razmar, 13.Rimaz, 14.Saflin and 15.Hillal

Responsible Hillal looks to step up

Mohammed Hillal, the Dubai Zahirians Fast Bowler, is keen to put behind him the hugely unsuccessful tour of Srilankan championship and do justice to his leadership role in the two-short format games against same JBS SC in same venue this friday october 08.

In the three Matches against in Jumairah last week, Hillal's series figures of 4 for 76, and seemed to have lost both his accuracy and swing."I had taken the responsibility [of leading the DZCC pace attack] a few years ago," Hillal said. "I probably didn't handle it so well in jumairah, but since then I have improved. "Another area where I want to improve on this trip is the leadership role - try and show the younger guys, whether it is in a training session or in the middle, the way Zahirians cricket is played. The young guys we have got are very good listeners. They are very keen to learn from the leaders of the group."

Zahirians will need the best of Hillal because none of the other specialist fast men has played a game in jumairah. Shane Mohammed Faris and Mohammed Haithar are the only ones to have bowled in last week.Hillal said it wouldn't be easy, but they were going to enjoy the challenge. "Coming over here is a huge challenge," he said. "Against JBSSC as the No. 1 side, and the calibre of players they have got. Rukshan, Rilwan, Ziyad. They have got a great bowling attack as well. There is Mendi."It is a huge challenge coming up against them, no matter what ranking they are. It doesn't matter what ranking we are as well. I just know it is going to be a tough tour for us. We are looking to make it tough for them as well."

Watch out for...
Mohammed Faris has made his name in the limited-overs game with a series of match winning innings last week in same venue. The challenge for faris is to focus his energy into building long innings, although one match against Frico SC won't push him to his limits.

Dubai Zahirians (probable) : 1.Dasthakir (c), 2.Arafath (wk), 3.Hillal, 4.Faris, 5.Haithar, 6.Rasmi, 7.Fayas, 8.Ayyub, 9.Shadeek, 10.Roshan and 11.Nawshard.

Pitch and Conditions
there was more swing than antone expected in the last game and this game will be played on the same surface so the seamers are likely to be key again.

Faris expects quicks to swing

Mohammed Faris the Dubai Zahirians All-rounder, has said quick bowlers will relish bowling on the fresh pitches in Jumairah So during the Srilankan Championship 2010 . He has been in top form this year, reclaiming a regular place in Zahirians's limited-overs sides and sending down one of the fastest deliveries just following Mohammed Hillal.

"Dubai Zahirians's always traditionally been a good place to bowl quick," Faris said. "I think the wickets usually offer quite a bit, and some of the grounds offer altitude, where the ball reportedly travels quicker through the air. I think the fast bowlers are licking their lips."

Mohammed Faris expected stiff competition in the Srilankan Championship, and didn't think the cash-rich teams will have an edge in the tournament. "It's a good chance for all the qulifited clubs to put their best players on the park and see how they measure up against each other," he said. "They have the big-gun players and the Sri Lankan teams are pretty talented themselves, so it's a big raffle about who's going to make the final." when we are playing.

The Dubai Zahirians went down by five wickets to JBS SC in their final game on Friday in Srilankan Championship. They kick off their campaign against same team on Sunday and also have Lankan Boys, Ajman Riders and Jet11 SC in their future fixings.

Zahirians Finished as Runner-up's

Innovations in the Srilankan Chempionship

It was survival instinct that drove players to look for cutting-edge tactics at the recently concluded Srilankan Championship. The second tournament has been nothing short of a discovery : unsettling yet determined shots, novel field positions and a whole new bag of tricks from the bowlers to hold them in good stead. That's what made the SCC a good show. Despite some ordinary cricket, there were also some splashes of brilliance. Here are our observations from the tournament.

Starting with the three fielder's inside the circle

teams had the three fielder inside the ring and pushed the square-leg fielder back to the boundary right from the beginning. This is not how teams have traditionally begun innings, preferring instead to have the fielder beside the square-leg umpire save singles and the fine leg, though slightly squarer, back on the boundary.bowlers don’t mind conceding singles because a single is as good as a dot ball in short format cricket.

Bowling short

There was plenty of the short-pitched stuff throughout the innings. Yes, the extra bounce on Jumairah pitches may have encouraged the bowlers to bang it in short but that's not the only reason. Most batsmen, regardless of there clubs, were in obvious discomfort against chin music. While the Frico from Ajman used it to good effect against the Zahirians, Mohammed Faris bowled at least a foot shorter against LKS SC. The more you see matches in these conditions, the clearer it becomes that it’s not only the batsmen from the Dubai's Club who aren’t great players of short-pitched stuff and that they have company. No bowler can get away with bowling just one-dimensional short-pitched stuff, though, but there is no harm in making the batsman smell leather every now and then.

 Playing straight

The teams from Dubai and Ajman have taught a lesson in batting to the rest of the sides only if they choose to notice. While the players from these clubs are good off the back foot and play horizontal bat shots, they have shown the value of hitting straight down the ground with a vertical bat, as opposed to their counterparts from the clubs who are guilty of looking to score only square of the wicket. Yes, there’s bounce to deal with but a half volley is a half volley on all surfaces and should be hit straight. Also, since teams keep the mid-off and mid-on fielder really wide on bouncy surfaces, there’s a huge gap in the front to get maximum value for shots. Dubai teams are yet to utilise this to its full potential.

DZCC aim to continue winning momentum

A cricket match was completed at Wonderland Park on Friday which, given what had happened over the last week, was something to be very grateful for. Dubai Zahirians, were impressive with the ball and in the way Mohammed Rasmi and Mohammed Faris chased down the target, while familiar JET11 Cricket Club failings came to the fore in the field. However, the hosts will know it was a perfect performance from DZCC.

Zahirians will want to sharpen their skills in the frist tournement ahead of the seson (The Srilankan Chempionship) comming friday in Jumairah, but such is the confidence in the team it is to see past another home victory.Zahirians need to rethink their strategy because it was a complete waste to leave Moahmmed Sanaz in the dug-out, may they can change Mohammed sanaz to replace Mohammed Saflin it willbe more strategy to them.Mohammed Arafath the opener not in good form and mohammed Rasmi the new replacement is superb mix in the top order,  One of these blasting batsmans has to bat in the top three.

Chance for Zahirians to test bench strength

This is one time the Zahirian's aren't minding the harsh Nad-al-Hammar sun. a clear hot Friday was a welcome sight. Still it needed a few days or a week of sun for them to be able to come out and train at the Sector in Ground, the venue of their comming tour game starting next friday Morning. The next three weeks in dubai are forecast to be sunny, something no Zahirians is likely to complain about.

"I am trying to work out the way modern cricket works," the dubai zahirians captain, Mohammed Dasthakir  said two days before the last game held in Wonderland park, That is exactly what makes this game interesting from a team selection point of view.It provides an opportunity for New Mohammed Shadeek, the taller, slightly correcter version of Mohammed Hillal; Mohammed Rasmi, the tall all-rounder released by Madawala richerds (who like Akurana and Madawala are playing the finals of the both Primiar Leagues); and Mohammed Nawshard and Ayyub Padladka to challenge the set combination. Three of them should get to play this game.

Mohammed Faris spoke about what else the Zahirians were looking to achieve in the game. "To try and get back in the swing of things," he said. "To spend some time in the middle. The bowlers spend some time there, getting through different spells of bowling, new ball, old ball, and the smears get overs under their belts."It is an interesting game for DZCC too, because four members of the squad will be not playing again. Although Mohammed Arafath and Mohammed Haithar played in to team, this will be the first real test of how well they have recovered from the ruled outs that curtailed their stays in Dubai.

His team-mate mohammed Arafath, the first-choice wicketkeeper, is still available giving another series behind the stumps.," DZCC physiotherapist Kelum said. "He is on track to be available for club cricket and possibility of being available for selection in the upcomming series." There was also no place in the squad for zahirians opener Mohammed Sanaz, a regular till a knee problem ruled him out of action for seven months ago, who will test his fitness in this month's.

Efficient Zahirians seal easy win over Jet11

Mohamed Faris and Mohammed Hillal could do with a better nicknames.they are was anything but Rusty, taking three wickets in the first three overs spell of the match, and one in hillal's first over back, hurting both JET11's start and comeback. On Wonderland Park's flat pitch, and with short boundaries,112 proved to be a comfortable chase in 12 overs for an efficient Zahirians side, who made it two in two for JET11 team in WLP. for Match Schedule and Bulletin please click here
Rasmi made 58 in 22 balls

Mohammed Shifan, JET11's hard-hitting journeyman opener, counterattacked, scoring 36 off his team's first 59 runs, but missed support from the other end and the innings failed to get a fillip after he got out for 38, in the 5th over. Zahirians didn't need any solo heroics in the chase as Moahmmed Rasmi, Mohammed Faris, Mohammed Fayas and Mohammed Arafath all made contribution.Mohammed rasmi walked across to the Second ball of the innings and flicked it past fineleg for Six, boundaries kept coming at the right times, either through improvisation or through correct hits straight down the ground. After arafath's dismissal, Faris and Rasmi added 62 risk-free runs in 26 legal deliveries. Righthand batsman faris high elbow and straight hits stood out, Mohammed Rasmi on his debue made 58 notout in just 22 balls was seen fire works around WLP. even faris's stylish two shots in to extra covers for sixes was gave lots confidence for DZCC in there chase.

Big Picture
There were a couple of surprises in the first phase of the last summer seson, but JET11 CC  emerged with their reputation unblemished after a clinical victory JUMEIRAH RIDERS CC in may 2010. DZCC, have been quite understated in the build-up to the Winter but promise to present a stronger challenge to the Summer Seson 2010.They were beaten RAFFALS HOTEL CC in their last summer game but not before overcoming a horrid start with the bat and creating several chances in the field.

Some of their experienced crew, including Mohammed Arafath and Mohammed Faris, however, failed to perform, and they'll be the focus in their attempt to stay in the hunt in this competition. Moahmmed Hillal and Moahmmed Haithar shared five wickets in opening spells. For Zahirians, the worry remains their pace attack comprising Rikaz, Razeen and Razmar; they are leftout due to there yearly vacation.

Team news
Zahirians have pace allrounders Mohammed Rasmi and Moahmmed Shadeek in their squad and could feature in the team's calculations should they choose to replace any of their seamers. Nawshard Mohammed had an off day against the Rafflas hotel,  and could prompt the team to revisit its pre-match plans.

Dubai Zahirians (possible): 1 Mohammed Dasthakir (c), 2 Moahmmed Arafath (wk), 3 Mohammed Hillal, 4 Mohammed Faris, 5 Moahmmed Haithar, 6 Moahmmed Rasmi, 7 Mohammed Shadeek, 8 Moahmmed Nawshard, 9 Moahmmed Saflin, 10 Mohammed Fayaz, 11 Ayyub Padladka.

JET11 (possible): 1 Mohammed Rizvi (c), 2 Mohammed Naisar, 3 Mohammed Saneer, 4 Moahmmed Jafeer (wk), 5 Mohammed Irfan, 6 Mohammed Shifan, 7 Mohammed Farook, 8 Mohammed Nafeel, 9Mohammed Nadeem, 10 Mohammed Raisad, 11 Mohammed Imam.

Watch out for...
Mohammed Arafath fell for a second-ball duck against the Raffals in last game he played, a rarity in his stint for as well as DZCC in the opening slot. He remains best-equipped to handle JET11's pace arsenal up front as well as their threat. Watch out for his face-off, if we come to that, against the other half of one of the most successful bowler-fielder combinations in zahirians cricket.

Mohammed Zaneer The success of he has been one to savour for JET11. He was one of their star performers during their last seson triumph with 17 wickets in eight games at 17.25 and is a huge asset with his persistence and combativeness with the new tape ball.

Stats and trivia
Mohammed Rasmi is Madawala Richard highest run-getter in MPL (Madawala Primer Leaguge) with 566 in 23 games at 40.35. His average is the best in the team followed by Moahmmed Haithar with 31.28. Moahmmed Hillal is the highest wicket-taker with 28 in 16 games at 17.84. Moahmmed Faris 14.12 for his 25 wickets in 15 games.

Fayaz hopes for Winter comeback

Mohammed Fayaz the DZCC valuble all-rounder and middle order hitter, has not given up on fighting into Zahirians's Winter squad this year, despite losing his contract during the off-season due to some bad injury's.Fayaz, who played in the tri-series in WLP last four months ago, "I was looking forward to the Nad-al-shiba tour and am disappointed to be unavailable for 16 weeks," Fayaz said. "I'm aiming to be ready for action by the start of the shiba series [in NAS in November]. Of course this decision will be made along with the Zahirians Cricket medical team."

"Every domestic player around the UAE has got an eye on the Winter seson," he told DZCB, before the Zahirians squad was named. "Going back NAS and hopefully being able to put up some good performances, hopefully I might be able to put my case forward for selection for that. We'll wait and see." One of the major challenges for Fayaz is to convince the selectors that he can lift his output at the elite level after struggling to grab his chances in 34 short format games in 16 weeks. That could be extra difficult in a dubai zahirians side full of allrounders - mohammed faris, mohammed haithar, mohammed hillal, ayyub padladka and mohammed shadeek were all part of the recent squad named. "There's a lot of multi-skilled cricketers in the side at the moment," Fayaz said. "That can only be a good thing for the DZCC team going forward into a Winter come october to March. The guys that are there at the moment are ahead of me, so I've just got to try and perform well at all level and push my case that way and force my way back into the side."

"Fayaz has been included in the squad on the back of a solid NAS tour and multiple successful seasons," the personal advisor Mohammed anas said. "He is an exciting all-rounder and we are sure he will make the most of this opportunity."

Few new names in Zahirians's squad

Dubai Zahirians selecting academy members Mohammed Rasmi, Mohammed Nawshard and Mohammed Shadeek, along with DZCC middle order batsman Ayyub padladka, are the four uncapped players who have been included in the DZCC primary member squad for their tour of Nad-al-shiba in November 17.

DZCC will be without the experienced allrounder Mohammed Razeen, Mohammed Rikaz, Mohammed Razmar and the opening Batsman Mohammed Siraj who are will remain in DZCC to complete a strength and conditioning programme, and to focus on to ensure they are available for the upcomming tour in dubai. the reson was they are celebrating there EID in Srilanka, with a two month Vacation. Mohammed Roomy, DZCC's head of cricket, termed the squad as "dynamic" and hoped the young replacements would grab the opportunity. "Without four influential players.DZCC will play two short format games in Nad-al-shiba on November 17.

"I'm extremely keen to get as much cricket as possible under belt before a challenging and exciting winter," the Madawala Richard opener Mohammed Rasmi said. "My sole focus is to continue playing a leading role for Dubai Zahirians and prepare in excellent conditions immediately before the winter. These two matches would enable me to work on my own game like MPL (Madawala Primear Leauge).

"We're very pleased Ayyub and Rasmi is seeking to get some more high quality cricket at a crucial period before the winter," Mohammed Farman, the DZCC chairman, said. "We are well aware of Ayyub and Rasmi's attention to detail and thoroughness when it comes to preparation, and he would gain a great deal from working on his batting against tough opposition in Nad-Al-Shiba.Shadeek, who last played for DZCC during the 2010 in Ajman, was recently got visa to dubai and is looking for a new ahead of the 2010/11 season with DZCC.Nawshard same like shadeek played his last game in Wonderland park against JBS in june 2010.

Dubai Zahirians (probable) : Dasthakir (c), Arafath (wk), Hillal, Ayyub, Nawshard, Shadeek, Haithar, Faris, Fayas, Rasmi and Saflin.

Dubai Zahirians's chance for redemption

stwo months after their disastrous tour of Wonderland against JBS eight days to go, DZCC have a chance to redeem themselves against Fowmy's men. Things are a little different for DZCC now: Faris is in charge, Mohammad Raldeen and Nazreen are gone and the series is being played on neutral territory at WLP.DZCC's batting looks thin, with Haithar the only man in the top six who averages over 40, but their strong attack might thrive in the WLP conditions.

There should be swing for Mohammad Hillal, Mohammad Faris and Mohammed Nazeer, but in order to snap JBS winning streak of 6 consecutive against top teams few weeks ago, the bowlers will need support. DZCC will have two debutants, the Mohammed Nawshard and the allrounder Mohammed Shiyan, but the core of their side remains the same. As much as the Zahirians will talk of being focused on this series, each of their four games between now and Augest also provides them with a chance to fine-tune their upcomming preparations.

One move they will make in this series is Mohammed Hillal up to the No. 4 position, which reflects his importance as the team's leading run scorer over the past months, while Mohammed Faris will drop down to No. 5. "It would be nice to have been up there an match in Wonderland again," Mohammed Dasthakir the skipper said of the honour board. "That might happen - we'll wait and see what happens there."

Aggressive bowling won it for DZCC

Mohammed Dasthakir, the Dubai Zahirians captain, has singled out his team's aggressive bowling as the factor that clinched a 27-run win in Wonderland, which gave the visitors an unassailable lead in the -match. Raffals put in a spirited performance with the bat, bowling out Dubaizahirians for 133/9 in a must-win game because last year they have lost, but capitulated during the chase in the wake of attacking bowling from Mohammed Haithar, Mohammed Faris and Mohammed Nazeer, who shared Seven wickets between them.

"The bowlers today must take the credit. They bowled with real aggression and intensity and today it's their win," Dastha said after the match. "I thought we let ourselves down [with the bat] with some poor middle order cricket, especially in the last 2 overs - a bit of awareness levels and making some bad decisions under pressure. But we knew the wicket had a bit in for the bowlers."A lot of guys actually look up to me to try and give them a good start. But if that doesn't happen they should put their hands up and be counted."

Big Picture
It is a very different DZCC side that will take the field on friday to the one that was chasing Mohammed Siraj around the Jumirah park. For starters the last tour isn't there, having been rested along with Mohammed Rikaz, and three of the likely starters at WLP's weren't in the while a fifth, Mohammed Riyas, was a drinks carrier. Mohammed Dasthakir is again to lead the side for the first time since April last week after the Shiba riders tour as is his Deputy Mohammed Razeen who also join after long time to the squad on this trip.

The squad rotation is with a view to finding out about a few younger players with Mohammed Riyas, Ayyub padladka and Mohammed Nawshard at the head of that list as Selecters adds to his options. This tour has to be viewed as another learning experience for the team and they are going to have to adjust to conditions if they want to be a force in the future games.

Form guide (last five completed matches)
Raffals     : WLLLW
Zahirians : WLLWW

Watch out for...
Mohammed Hillal has made his name in the limited-overs game with a series of matchwinning innings last month in same venue. The challenge for Hillal is to focus his energy into building long innings, although one match against Raffals won't push him to his limits.

Mohammed Razeen another zahirian to watch Debute after a big break. such a blaster ever seen in DZCC history also the man who deputy of the club. can ball river swings when they need a break. Moahmmed Tamim the raffals all-rounder, He was the stand-out performer when the two sides met earlier this year and if he can continue that form in this conditions his reputation will be further enhanced.

Team news
Although this would be a good chance to experiment with four bowlers, it seems likely DZCC will stick to their preferred route of a batting-heavy line-up which means a debut for Riyas ahead of Razeen,Ayyub and Nawshard.

Dubai Zahirians (probable) : Dasthakir, Razeen, Ayyub, Nawshard, Riyas, Haithar, Faris, Fayas, Hillal, Rifas and Rimaz

Pitch and conditions
The recent heatwave in WLP has abated to be replaced by more not normal conditions with hot wind. DZCC's pace attack won't mind overhead conditions to help them and there is a chance of some dust during the weekend.which should encouraged batsmen and bowlers who are good enough to take advantage.

Quotes
"I'm really excited to play at WLP's in a match. It will be a dream come true and I really want to play, because I don't know when I'll get another chance." Rifas says to webpage on monday.

Focused Ayyub prepares for action

Ayyub Padladka says DZCC are fully focused on ending their poor record in May, and believes they have the strength in depth to cope with all conditions they will face in the coming fortnight in the Wonderland park.

"I don't want to waste my runs in the warm-ups, but it's always good to get them under the belt, and I hope to put in a good performance on friday. As a team, we are aware of our shortcomings in Turfball cricket, but we've played a lot in UAE cricket in the last couple of years, and we know we've got the resources to take it on this year and win."

so this friday i got lot prepares and responsbility to do something with my hand to dubai zahirians, main cause we are going to playing with out few outstanding players last months ago.Siraj,Nazreen,Rikaz and Arafath are left out for rest it mean youngstars need to perporm well to get home DZCC on wonderland park this friday night.

Ayyub Padladka the Dubai zahirians Middle order batsman and part time seamer have scored 576 runs in 21 short format games in 22.30 avvarage with a one half cencury and hold 14 wickets well.so selecters keep lot faith on him to make better perpormens in WLP.

'Important for seamers to retain focus' - Dasthakir

Mohammed Dasthakir the Dubai Zahirians Skipper, has said it is important for pace bowlers to maintain their focus in the wake of early success and fame. Speaking to there official web page last night, Skipper said it was difficult for DZCC's fast bowlers to make the transition from domestic to Divison cricket, especially when playing hard truf's, and added that fear of injury and the urge to play on a long-term basis could be reasons for many promising seamers to cut down on their pace after the first few weeks.

"Focus is surely important, but again everyone lives their own personal life as well. As long as he knows the thin line between foolishness and bravery, that is very important," Dasthakir said. "If you have a mentor or someone is looking up for you, with so much of fun and entertainment involved, if there is one coach or family member, who actually keeps an eye on the player and if the player is ready to listen to them, you are alright. If you are talented and hardworking, nothing should bother you."

we have used 9 fast bowlers in the 21 games they have played since the start of 2010. When asked if immense pressure to perform was the reason behind many struggling to keep their places in the side, Skipper said: "Honestly, you need to be performing rather than complaining. There is stress and there is pressure, especially when you play in UAE conditions. It's actually tough to get on and start performing. It's a challenge for a fast bowler, especially in the turf ball games, but you must endure those stressful moments.," said more of the reason behind bowlers dropping in pace. "Maybe it's the fear of injury. It's always better to give your best every single day. I think that may be the reason - trying to conserve your energy for the next game than giving your best today."

A balance between both strength and skill is an important ingredient for bowling fast along with accuracy, he said. "sence is very important, strength is surely important. But if you forget your skill…..you've got to work on your wrists, on your bowling and spot-bowling. What we forget after playing for our country is the spot-bowling which we grew up with in the clubside." and now Mohammed Nazreen is exit also two new seamers have been join with us namely Mohammed Rifas and Mohammed Riyas so fast bowlers going to follow this they are surely stay in first X1 ever.
