M.Razmar returns to DZCC squad

Razmar has, as expected, made a return to DZCC's ODI plans with his inclusion in the squad for the tri-series in UAE and the Lankans Trophy next month. Razmar replaces M.Azad, who managed 25 runs in last three innings in the Drydocks tour and 31 runs in Four innings against major opposition in the Loins cup-09. The selectors didn't risk taking Dasthakir, who is yet to fully recover from his shoulder injury, to the Lankans Trophy. He was not expected to make it to the upcoming tri-series anyway.Razmar last played an ODI for DZCC in janury 2009, but his form in the Domestic Cricket - where the lankans Trophy will be held - and the vulnerability of DZCC's middle-order batsmens in the recent Lions Cup-09 prompted the selectors to fall back on his experience and technique.so the Razmar's return puts more strenth on DZCC's middle-Order.
Sanaz Mohammed, who had opted out of the previous ODIs, makes a comeback. Irshad, who was out because of a hairline fracture of the thumb, also returns. Arafath breaks into the ODI squad, replacing Azad as the back-up spinner to Skipper Nazeer, on the back of his impressive showings in the few tours and the Emerging Players Tournament in Drydocks Tour. But much of it comes down to the top order, where one of the top four has to bat through. The middle order has to handle things better in certain situations. The positive for us has been our bowling, which has been consistent and has allowed us to use well the variations we have at our disposal.A crucial area is our fielding, which hasn't been the greatest in the last six months, and that's something we are working hard at. We need to take those half-chances and make the close run-outs.
Borad of Selecters said that we need to be confident. We need to remember that we won our last one-day series, against lankan lions, which is a fairly good opposition. In between we may have lost three ODI's, but it's a different game. In a short format game, if you make a mistake, it's difficult for you to come back, Even if you make a slight error, there is plenty of time to come back. The approach is going to be totally different, and we will go in confidently despite the presence of strong opposition in the tri-series. We have realised over the last one-and-a-half months that UAE teams are a tough sides, and DZCC of course are the No. 2 side in the UAE, trying to move on to No. 1. This should be fairly good preparation for the Lankans Trophy, where we hope to rediscover our knack of getting it together in big tournaments.
meet u all soon until bye from Hillal cheeeers up.........
