Arafath doubt for Sharjah Tour

"substantial" fracture to Mohammed Arafath's finger, which threatens to rule him out of the Sharjah tour and few weeks ahead. It means Dubai Zahirians head home with various issues hanging over four of their squad with just four days remaining before they leave for the sharjah.including Sanaz,Roshan and Saflin(tito).

Arafath was ruled out of the final match of DZCC between Royal Ascot Hotel the series in Wonderland after X-rays revealed a fracture to the middle finger on his left hand, which he sustained in Adelaide but was only picked up more than a week later. He flew out of WLP as the last game unfolded and will see a specialist immediately on his return to the DZCC.It is expected that the results will be known by the time Mohammed Shemir, the Dubai zahirians team IT Supporter, sits down with the selectors on Saturday afternoon to discuss the injury situation and Dasthakir is bracing himself for the worst.

Dasthakir said,"He's got a broken finger, he's going to see a specialist tomorrow to decide what the best course of action is to remedy that situation," he said. "There's obviously a chance that he's not going to feature. They went for an X-ray and I think everyone was reasonably surprised to see it was quite a substantial fracture." "He is [important], particularly in those conditions as well, being able to clear the ropes in the manner that he does," Dastha said. "It's a big loss for us potentially. Hopefully there will be an opportunity for him to play. If he isn't available someone is going to have to fill those shoes."

However Sanaz added that he thought Mohammed Saflin, who has also flown home due to vacation, so Sanaz would be available for selection for Zahirians's opener, and is expecting everyone to feel refreshed when they tackle their next challenge in Sharjah. "Hopefully everyone's going to be raring to go for that comming game. Hopefully everyone's rested as well so that DZCC are ready to go."

After a successful first half of 2010, in which he scored an half century against JBS in WLP again. Zahirians had a team practice in WLP on thursday, and Rikaz said he was putting in long hours in the nets. "All of us are enjoying the sessions and the environment is also good. Now I am mentally relaxed and am practicing batting for a long time in the nets," Rikaz said. "You will have good or bad days but we are all prepared to give our best. If we all do well, the team will gain from the game."

"As Dubai zahirians will play the first match in Sharjah in the running year of 2011 with Sharjah Indians, we are trying to develop our performance," Rikaz said. "I hope we will achieve the right result for the club." Rikaz started his career as an opener, but has shifted down to the No. 3 spot in recent times. "Last one year I am playing at No. 3 and feeling comfortable in this position," he said. "I think those who are openers can suit themselves to any position." Rikaz averages just 16.72 in short format games he has played in as an opener, while at No. 3 his average is 31.57.

Sand Storme Postponed Series Again

The confusion surrounding the one-day leg of Jet11' tour of Wonderland has ended with Dubai zahirians Cricket Board (DZCB) announcing that the two-match series has been postponed to late February 2011 because of the bad weather all across the Dubai. The decision, made after an understanding was reached by the boards and the media partners.

Mohammed Farman, DZCB's manager, told DZCC official page that the two boards were "looking at postponing the series yesterday [thursday]." He said the delay in the making the decision was because they decided to wait one more day to see if the weather would improve.

"The weather is beyond any of our control and the DZCB will now work with JET11 Cricket to ensure that the matches are rescheduled to a time when the weather is more favourable for cricket."

Sanaz confident of being ready for ahead

Mohammed Sanaz the dubai zahirians top order batsman, has taken the glass-half-full view of the injury lay-off that forced him to miss the last three short format games, believing he will benefit from the rest over the next year. sanaz suffered an abdominal strain on the fourth day in WLP and is still working his way back towards full fitness, but is confident of being ready for the start of the summer ahead.

Sanaz for official blog"I'm keen to play but I don't think it will happen. I've been unfortunate to miss the last three weeks but we have got a huge amount of cricket coming up so this little break might just help me fire on all cylinders for the summer comming ahead or so, "I'm desperate to get back playing, it's felt like a long three and a half weeks," he said. "I love playing cricket, that's what I do, so it's hard when you injured and don't get to try and improve yourself. I'm certainly looking forward to getting back playing and there's a lot of cricket coming up."

"I think the injuries are pretty minor so I don't think it will affect any balance to the DZCC squad or anything like that," he said, "but it's a little frustrating in this series to have lost as many players as we have. It's been hard to find the right balance that we'll go into the Summer with this you can't do anything about injuries and after a lot of cricket on this tour I think we've done well with the amount of injuries we've had."

Sanaz added that he thought Mohammed Saflin, who has also flown home due to vacation, so Sanaz would be available for selection for Zahirians's opener, and is expecting everyone to feel refreshed when they tackle their next challenge. "Hopefully everyone's going to be raring to go for that comming game. Hopefully everyone's rested as well so that we are ready to go."

Razmar Replace Saflin (tito)

Mohammed Razmar, the dubai zahirians all-rounder might be going to replace Mohammed Saflin (tito) in next series against JET11 cricket club on 04th feburary 2011 due to his yearly vacation. the valuble middle order batsman tito submit his official head letter to DZCB yesterday, mention player going to out from 2nd feb - 27th of same month.

with the 26.30 of healthy batting avarege tito is standing good possition in the team card last few months.remember he have secured dubai zahirians in Nad-al-Shiba december last year 2010 was put him a great place in middle order."I have spoken to Dastha," tito said. "I've spoken to a lot of my friends and team members. He's been a wonderful friend of mine for a long time and he was excited to see me back soon in DZCC and wished me all the best for vacation."

Mohammed Razmar, the Dubai Zahirians medium facer and batsman said he is happy with his fitness and the next step in his recovery from injury is putting bat to ball again.Razmar missed the few last series due to his vacation and knee problems. He has been named in the side that will take on Jet11 in a two matches series starting Febraury 04 in Wonderland.

Dubai Zahirians have a  big battle with JET11 CC - Dubai in wonderland will going to change lot of things in team card include the Razmar have no fitness issues and only have to decide between Mohammed Arafath and Mohammed Fayaz.

Selectors back Siraj to rediscover form

Mohammed Siraj, the out-of-form dubai zahirians top order batsman, will continue to receive the support of DZCC's selectors at least until the end of the March 2011. While Siraj has been struggling for runs throughout the running summer, Mohammed Farman said the panel has been impressed with his Batting against Shiba Riders in Nad-al-Shiba last year, who the hosts 2-1 in the three-match series.

"We have a lot of reasons to support him at this time," Dasthakir the Skipper said in the official blogspot. ''We've been delighted with his leadership batting. His form in the first three games has been excellent in last november 2010. His strategies, batting changes, everything that he's done - not least winning matches - has been good, and I'm sure that will only be good for him.''

However, Siraj's batting is more of a problem, with him unable to exit the slump which worsened during the Friendly Match 2011. He scored 16 runs in that campaign and has posted 9 and 7 in the first two short format matches. "We are pretty confident that given the same opportunities Mohammed Siraj will repay us the different way. I believe he has got through to the end of the 2011 to sort it out and we are confident he well and truly will have it sorted before then."

Mohammed Sanaz the experiance top order batsman told Siraj to believe in himself to correct the "state-of-mind" problem. "You can turn it around very quickly and for that reason I'm confident Mohammed Siraj only needs to get a few runs at some stage in the next few games and he'll go to WLP [for the Big Match] in a very different space than he's in now," he said. ''When you're not playing well you start to think about anything and everything and stop watching the ball. It's nearly as simple as that."

big match postponed due to bad weather

The confusion surrounding the big match leg of JET11' tour of Wonderland has ended with Dubai Zahirians Board of Control (DZCB) announcing that the Big Match 2011 has been postponed to late 04th February 2011 because of the bad weather all across the dubai. The decision, made after an understanding was reached by the boards of the both teams.

"The weather in dubai has been most disappointing throughout the Match and a practical decision had to be taken in the best interest of cricket, the fans and the players," DZCB chief executive, Mohammed Farman, said. "It made little sense to have the teams turn up for matches which they knew were not going to take place and this would have caused frustrations to players and officials as well.

"The weather is beyond any of our control and the DZCB will now work with JET11 Cricket Club to ensure that the matches are rescheduled to a time when the weather is more favourable for cricket."might be 10 days later.
