Mohammed Arafath Back.

THE BOOST RETURN
the DZCC wicket keeping Batsman,There was a time when he is form was the be-all and end-all for DZCC, suprise he is back after 10 months.when he isn't making the batsman's life a misery. He admits it has been difficult readjusting following the first long-term Failure of his career and was denied the chance to relieve some frustrations when runs washed out DZCC's net session at Wonderland Park last week.I'm doing everything I can to get myself back to where I was. However, one player who probably won't mind some extra time to put his feet up is

"It's always a challenge to play against better sides. This team has so much potential. Everyone has got a role, batsmen, bowlers and fielders and they all know what to do. If plan A doesn't work the captain is there to implement plan B. We have to take key points and work to that."Though progress has been smooth, DZCC are not without dilemmas. The first is a pleasant, selectorial one. Mohammad Razeen & Mohammed Rikaz has yet to play a part in the last seven months.

Now I know my role a bit better," he said. "I had it set in my mind that I was going to be nice and positive through coming series because in the past in DZCC I probably wasn't as positive as I would have liked to have been. What DuabiZahirians haven't done, however, is beat a top side in nearly two years. "Winning is a habit," said Arafath. "We're aware that we've come close recently. It's the key moments in games that we've let slip. But we have been creating opportunities to win."Hopefully I'll win one more tournement we can keep table again in UAE," he said with a smile.

finally he said, "But the best advice I got was when I was told that when I started playing cricket I did so as I loved the game. At that point I wasn't thinking of playing for Zahira and so why think about it now, I was asked. That set me thinking and slowly I regained my confidence and got back to normal.""That was something I found it tough to deal with initially but slowly got used to that as well and started to enjoy my batting once again."

Razeen & Nazeer added for Nad-al-Shiba

Mohammed Razeen, the Dubai Zahirians Valuble all-rounder and formar vice captain has returned to the squad in April while his team-mate, all-rounder and former captain Mohammed Nazeer has also won a place in the 15-man pool for the tour of Nad-al-Shiba in April last week this year. and the another experiance all-rounder Mohammed Rikaz also named in the squad.mohammed razeen have been in srilanka for more then nine months.

The trio take the place of fast bowler Mohammed Hillal, middle-order batsman Ayyub Padladka and Mohammed Rafeek, who were part of Zahirians squad for the two big matches against Shiba Riders CC in two weeks."The squad we have selected sees the return from vacation of Mohammed Razeen," Mohammed Farman, the chairman of selectors, said. " [It] includes a very good mix of experience and new young talent with mohammed Shuhaib, Mohammed Roshan, Mohammed Imran and two young fast bowlers in Irshad and Malinga." Malinga's to prominence during the WLP tour two month ago, and became the second after Ayyoub Padladka out side from zahira college cricket to represent DZCC when he played an game against lankan lions SC last january 2012.

His team-mate mohammed siraj, the first-choice wicketkeeper, is still available giving another series behind the stumps.," DZCC physiotherapist Kelum said. "He is on track to be available for club cricket and possibility of being available for selection in the upcomming series." There was also no place in the squad for zahirians opener Mohammed Sanaz, a regular till a knee problem ruled him out of action for seven months ago, who will test his fitness in this month's. and while Captain Mohammed Dasthakir will remain as same.

Dubai Zahirians (possible) 1.Dasthakir (capt), 2.Siraj, 3.Imran, 4.Shuhaib, 5.Irshad, 6.Malinga, 7.Hillal, 8.Roshan, 9.Rafeek, 10.Razeen, 11.Rikaz, 12.Nazeer, 13.Nisar and 13.Ayyub

January 6, Jafliya - Dubai
Start time 07:30 (10:30 GMT)

The Big Picture
Dubai Zahirians haven't won their previous two home series, but a failure to close out this one will cause the most criticism. While the other contests were against teams near the top of the rankings, this one is against a side that was struggling to find its feet in UAE cricket. A series that was expected to be all one-way traffic is now level at both teams view, with DZCC having already achieved their pre-tour ambition of winning a Series in out side the home.

After basking in one of their greatest victories, Zahirians have now scaled up their goal to a series win in Jafliya against Lankans SC. The last success came about through significant contributions from many of their players - Mohammed Hillal and Mohammed Izzath making good contribution. That's something they need to repeat in Jafliya if they are to pose a challenge to Lankans Sc, who remain favourites despite the Jafliya's debacle.

Izzath replaces Imtiyas for Madrasi tour in WLP

Mohammed Izzath, the river bank SC fast bowler, has been named as Mohammed Imtiyas's replacement in Madrasi tour squad for their tour of WLP 2011. Mohammed Rikaz, the DZCC allrounder, has been picked for the short format against Madras club, marking his return to the domestic setup after more than seven months.

After razeen was ruled out of the tour with a immidiate leave starts yesterday, the selectors had to add another seamer to the 12-man squad for WLP and the place was expected to go to either one of  Izzath, Ayyub Padladka or Mohammed farhan the new commer. Izzath got that spot, but a place in the short format squad was vacated because  is departing of Razeen and imtiyas. Fayas's performances in the ongoing domestic season have been rewarded with that spot for the final selections.

Izzath has got chance as debut, but drew attention because of his performance in this season's GPL Trophy, in which he is the leading wicket-taker in the Dole division, having taken 13 wickets in three games. Izzath joins Mohammed rikaz, Mohammed Ziyad and Mohammed Hillal in DZCC's pace department for the tour, with Mohammed Rimaz selected provisionally, subject to him proving his fitness before the squad's departure. Seven of the players from the squad - Mohammed Siraj, Sanaz mohammed, mohammed Saflin, Mohammed Fayaz, Mohammed Dasthakir and Mohammed nazeer are added on batting and all rounding hands, on December 8, to prepare for the series. High hopes for Zahirians's back

Winter here in dubai finished rush summer 2011.......
Zahirians have targeted a place at the Jumeirah Series in Jumeirah-Dubai next month, and batsman Mohammad Imtiyas former queenslander believes the blooding of new talent during Srilanka's domestic GPL-2011 tournament stands the team in good stead.

"We are preparing for the Jumerah series next month and for a series of matches in the United Arab Emirates, so it was very good to come here and play," said Imtiyas, who was stand-in captain at the GPL-2011, with Regular captain Mohammed Dasthakir and by the way several senior players having missed the trip in order to prepare for next month's matches in the dubai.including Razeen, Arafath and Rasmi.

"We brought some youngsters here while the seniors were in the UAE, so we have a good back-up and youngsters get the chance to learn something, and I am happy that they learnt a lot," said Ayyub Padladka.

Skipper added that he hoped new team would continue the progress set in motion by former players. "We learnt a lot from them last few years and now we have former plenty of senior players well, so we hope they carries on the good work," said Rikaz.

In order for Dubai Zahirians to make a second appearance at the Jumeirah Series in Dubai next November, they will have to finish in the top two in the last year, scheduled in the dubai from November 13-24, 2011.

Team no longer dependent on anyone - Dasthakir

When he came for his online briefing on Sunday afternoon, Mohammed Dasthakir wasn't sure that Zahirians were assured of a place in Dubai Lankan Lions Tournement in - April 2011.It's been a strange sort of March 2011 for Dubai Zahirians, with three consecutive wins against the lesser sides sandwiched by losses to Jumeirah X1 and Shiba Riders . But having avoided the potential banana skins, they will be dangerous opponents for anyone.

"We'll meet later and identify our best combination," said Dastha. "We all respect what Sanaz,Siraj,Razeen,Rikaz,Hillal and Arafath has done for the team in the recent past. they are our most experienced players." The past tournaments has yet to see a monumental effort from all these players, and dastha suggested it was a good sign that the team was no longer dependent on anyone. "Before, when sanaz or anyone got out, we used to crumble," he said. "That's not the case with the present crop. When they got out early against Rafals Dubai DC last Month, we still made good total in board. In the last game, young Ayub and Shadeek stepped up. I think it's a good thing that we've had contributions from different individuals."

What DuabiZahirians haven't done, however, is beat a top side in nearly two years. "Winning is a habit," said Dastha. "We're aware that we've come close recently. It's the key moments in games that we've let slip. But we have been creating opportunities to win."Hopefully I'll win one tournement we can keep table first again in UAE," he said with a smile.

"With time, we'll get back to winning matches. After the Rafals Hotel SC second game, I told them: 'We didn't get beaten. We gave the game away'. Everything we set out to do, we did. Rasmi went out and played the way he can. We then had Rikaz coming in and give us even more impetus. We were way ahead of the rate. All we had to do was bat through. We didn't apply enough thought."

Rikaz aims to be top scorer

Mohammed Rikaz the Dubai Zahirians Top Order batsman and all-rounder, has announced his intentions of top scoring in every match he plays during the upcomming summer sesson, which included on February 18, the dubai zahirians takes Sharjah Indians in Sharjah next friday.

"I want to score my first century at Sharjah in the next weeks i hope also i can do that," he told the Dubai Zahirians official page. "I will try to be the highest scorer in every match in the upcoming summer." one of Rikaz's two centuries have come at Wonderland, while his only away century was against Shiba Riders in Nad-al-Shiba on 2009.

After a successful first half of 2010, in which he scored an half century against JBS in WLP again. Zahirians had a team practice in WLP on thursday, and Rikaz said he was putting in long hours in the nets. "All of us are enjoying the sessions and the environment is also good. Now I am mentally relaxed and am practicing batting for a long time in the nets," Rikaz said. "You will have good or bad days but we are all prepared to give our best. If we all do well, the team will gain from the game."

"As Dubai zahirians will play the first match in Sharjah in the running year of 2011 with Sharjah Indians, we are trying to develop our performance," Rikaz said. "I hope we will achieve the right result for the club." Rikaz started his career as an opener, but has shifted down to the No. 3 spot in recent times. "Last one year I am playing at No. 3 and feeling comfortable in this position," he said. "I think those who are openers can suit themselves to any position." Rikaz averages just 16.72 in short format games he has played in as an opener, while at No. 3 his average is 31.57.

Siraj, Razeen and Rikaz in squad

Dubai Zahirians selectors have dumped fast bowlers Mohammed Faris and Mohammed Ziyad, recalled allrounder Mohammed Rikaz, and included Mohammed Razeen and Mohammed Siraj in their squad to face Redsun Sports in the tour starting at the Wonderland on Friday. The pair will join Mohammed Shadeek and another uncapped fast bowler, Mohammed Hillal, who have been retained in the squad.

Chairman of selectors Mohammed Farman said that with their main spearhead Mohammed Faris unavailable for next few matches, Zahirians are going through a transitional period of trying to find the right combination of fast bowlers to share the new ball in next matches."Some of them cannot play back-to-back matches. This is something unheard of in the past. In Faris's case we have even promoted him to the top category in the player contracts, but he is not fit enough to play for two weeks."

Rikaz played the last of his in Augest 2010 against JBS at Jumairah. The 21-year-old Shadeek is a right-arm medium fast bowler who represents Godapola yoth in the Premier club tournements. With the recall of Razeen and Rikaz, DZCC will have to decide who will play the first match after the disappointing performance put on by Faris and Haithar at WLP.captain Mohammed Dasthakir was critical of the bowling. "The first six overs were probably okay, although we didn't make the batsmen play too much. But after that I thought the lines and the lengths we bowled on this track was not good enough for us to put any pressure on them either to get wickets or to cut down on the runs.

"It's two things on these tracks. No. 1 is to try and make the new ball work for us. If it doesn't work in picking up wickets how we build up pressure by bowling one side of the wicket to one set field. It's nice to limit them to one side and dry the runs up. Those are the things we got to do a bit better and when that happens with our seamers we can build a lot of pressure."

Dubai Zahirians : Dasthakir (c), Razeen, Rikaz, Rasmi, Shadeek, Siraj, Hillal, Ayyub, Razmar, Rimaz and Haithar.

'Hopefully I can better in Future performance' - Rikaz

"It's a good way to start off the tour having practised Turf and Grass Grounds for the last few months," Mohammed Rikaz said after the match two weeks ago. "But it's only the first daynight success, and there's plenty more cricket to come, so hopefully, I can better this performance. We all know the nature of turfball cricket - the bowler is always up against it. The series could be important for the confidence of both teams after they failed to reach the semi-finals of the Srilankan tour.

"You can take five wickets one day, and the next day, take a thumping, but I enjoyed it. It was not an easy day for the batters, and you had to graft pretty hard. Playing shots was not easy, and there was a strong wind, so there were a lot of things you had to take into consideration.

"It was obviously nice to start with a win. This was the most important thing for us. We have worked really hard over the last few months here in WLP-wonderland park, had a few discussions, the energy has been good around the team, and a lot of new faces have come in. We want to have a good tour of the WLP, so success in this match was very important to getting us off on the right foot." "We still have a match on next friday night, so we have to pick ourselves up. This is no time for pointing fingers. We have a lot of corrections to make out there, and we have to return to the drawing board to try and get the best out of the players."

Mohammed Rikaz doubtful for triangular series

the DZCC allrounder, is in doubt for the triangular series against AJMAN BLACKS SC in comming Friday, after he ignored medical advice and continued to play with a fractured hand, the DZCB has said.

Rikaz, who has scored 864 runs in 46 limited overs games at 22.24, had injured his left hand while batting against Rothmans SC in an 15 overs game in Aveer on last wendsday. Initial scans did not reveal a fracture, but the failure to recover prompted a re-examination on day after tomarow, and a hairline fracture was brought to notice. He was advised against any batting during practice or matches until December 18.

"Despite these clear verbal and written instructions, for unclear reasons Rikaz had tried batting on a number of occasions, both before and after he was diagnosed with a fracture," the DZCB said in a statement. "After every time (he batted]), he complained of increased pain, swelling, and an inability to adequately grip the bat, let alone bat with comfort or competence. "This ongoing aggravation and re-injury will delay Rikaz's recovery, and could give him long term issues with the wrist. As such, there is now some doubt as to his ability to return to fitness by the next Domestic duties in early January." The triangular series gets underway on Decenber 11 in Al-Quses, and will be followed by DZCC taking on the Biggest year end event lankan lions tourement on 18 December in Ajman.

Rikaz Fly to KSA

The team has been doing well since 2008.There have been definite improvements; we are now all seeing it. There has been a lot of work must put into the team over this time.because Critical time running now for DZCC.We had a good win in last few tours and hopefully we can move from strength to strength. We didn’t have a good result in past two months but we have had a positive start to the year so hopefully we can seal it off with another tournament.I am preparing myself for any eventuality, I have to prepare myself as a vice caption and hope for the best.
Mohammed Rikaz the vice caption for DZCC fly to KSA for a small Conference with Mr.Ifthykar the founder.Current Development and shortage of tours willbe the headline there.that ifthy mention riky can do something better maybe it is on action here.rikaz resservation untill five upcomming working days of KSA.we will attach full verson in the next issue.

Focuses on The Job Ahead - Rikaz VC

Ricky climbed to the summit of DZCC's run list but refused to enjoy the view until after the Last Macth. The reson was he dont know its going to be a big gap.Rikaz become the DZCC's most prolific batsman&Part time Bowler when he passed as Vice caption.in a Match i Remember "Ricky was trying to get some emotion out of me in the middle," Ricky said. "He came down and said: 'Well done, I'm really proud of you.' I said: 'Mate, we've got a job to do.'

Then I waved my bat around a little bit more than I normally do its brings Victory for DZCC.Actually its the riky's strong.trust every one and hope can do anything.A Superb attractive hold by riky everytime.DZCC started by losing two wickets to the opening two balls, but Rikaz wasn't too bothered by the setbacks and quickly knocked off the One of the Great team few month ago.Now Every thing bring him vice caption of DZCC

Me said(Hillal) Rikaz was a worthy holder of the mantle. "Clearly, I am a great admirer, having been involved in Ricky's selection in many greatDZCC's Match, and having enjoyed watching him closely on more occasions than I can remember as a cricket media commentator as well,"
(Hillal).so there is nothing to wonder about Riky’s Position. But at the same time what he want to done immediately? A big question standing.

Rikaz mohammmed has shown he can do that, and keep his head when things get tight. Add that to his excellent control as a Batsman and a temperament that craves responsibility instead of shunning it, and DZCC have an absolute asset on their hands right now.Anyhow I have really happy to announce this MR.Rikaz Mohammed will be the Vice caption from Today for DZCC. As a Press releaser am glad to wish him too. Inshaallah DZCC played and shows soon.
Cheers! Mission with the vision
